  1. Happy 43rd Birthday cowgirldreams!

  2. Happy 42nd Birthday cowgirldreams!

  3. Here I thought for sure I had a leak in my band, it was out of position or something was terribly wrong. I'd had 3 fills was supposedly up to 4.3cc, had the band for 3 1/2 months and NO WT loss. I went to my appt for a fluro evaluation as my other fills were without fluro. The band is in proper position and no leak that could be detected. This practioner indicated I was more likely at 3.4cc in the band but with the volume in the tubing needed to prime the port that the total was probably near 4.3 cc ( and the other physician hadn't broke out the different volumes). Sooo, she bumped me up another .5cc and I'm a total of 3.9cc IN THE BAND. AND I can definately tell the difference. I'm on liquids for a couple days and even with liquids I notice a difference. Really I'm not hungry either. What a RELIEF, I think I can finally start to benefit from the band as it was designed. It's costly having all those fills and just now getting this to work. Even though the fluro fills is 3X the money, in the long run maybe that would have been the way to go to begin with? Hind sight. Anyway, I feel so much better not fretting that some MAJOR intervention was going to be needed to get things working. OK, here I go my weight loss now will officially begin and I'm excited once more. :clap2:

    had my band repositioned

No, I really never did get any replies. From what research I've done I kinda doubt I have a slip as I don't have ANY symptoms at all. I seem to have mod restriction until about noon and then it's done and I'm back to being able to eat rather freely. I suppose there's always a leak in the band. I'm hoping that can be identified with the barium xray but I really don't know if that shows a leak or not. At this point I'm still pretty inthe dark. I tell ya, at this point having lost 6# would feel like something. But for 4 months I don't have anything to show for it. I'm not great about food choices but I do try to be careful. I'm hoping Wednesday will be revealing at least to where I'm at and what I need to do next.

    had my band repositioned

What all was involved with repositioning the band? Was it back to full surgery and similar to having the band placed initially? Or is there a modified less invasive manner that is easier and less expensive? Just may be heading down that road and have no idea what to expect. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Are there any symptoms with pouch dilation?

I'm having very similar problems. I've had the band going on 3 months, have had 3 fills and still can eat > 1 1/2 cups and then some. I haven't lost ANY wt. I don't have pain, reflux or anything unusual. I have some restriction in the AM and then it seems to go away. I supposedly have 4.33 cc in a 5cc band. I actually scheduled myself for a barium swollow and fluro next week. I just hope I get some answers. Where do I go from here? How much more will this be? Will band EVER do anything to help me. It's sooooo frustrating.

    Marchies in July

I'm reading your posts and thinking whooaa what's wrong here. I too was banded in March but NO wt loss so far. I've had 3 fills and supposedly at 4.33cc in a 5cc band. I'm quite concerned at this point because I thought I'd at least be down 10-15# by now. I try to be careful with food choices etc but thought the band was here to help me as dieting I wasn't very successful with. I'm not sure what to do now. I'm planning on getting a barium study next week but then what. I haven't had any physical complications at all. My fill doctor says I don't have any visceral fat. So what it's all on the outside, this isn't what I thought it would be so far. :think

    had my band repositioned

I having problems with NO wt loss going on 4 months post-surgery. I've had 3 fills and am supposedly at 4.33cc in a 5cc band. I have some restriction at certain times of day but can certainly eat a meal. I'm trying to be good but thought the band was supposed to help me and so far nothing. I don't know what's wrong, if it slipped if I have a leak or what. What to do next???????????:think

    Second Fill-wonderful!

I too am glad there are others feeling the same frustrations and concerns related to fills, restriction and no wt loss. My surgery was in March, I'm on my 2nd and going for 3rd fill next week and still don't have the restricition I should. I can confidently say I have more after the 2nd fill but am sure there's a ways to go. I'm now at 3.2 cc's in a 4cc band. I'm not losing and certainly no where near where I mentally had planned by now. I'm at point of complete frustration right now but keep reminding myself I have another fill scheduled for 7/8. I'm hoping and praying this one will be IT!! and I begin to see some changes.
  10. I got my band on 3-21 and have done great, only lost about 10# post band. My biggest concern right now is that I don't feel like the band is even there. I realize there's no restriction right now but I can eat TOTALLY normally at this point. It's worrisome as I've gained back about 3# from my loss post-banding. Did this happen to anyone else? Did you feel like you were back sliding. While I'm at it I will admit I've not been good about following the preset meals as I'm more hungry than these meal samples satisfy. I am a lower BMI bander but had hoped for a bit better results after the initial banding. Worried at this point. :phanvan
