  1. Wow sorry to hear. Hope you feel better soon.
  2. If it spreads or starts to swell, Id say go to the ER. I ended up with a clot in my arm a week after surgery from the I.V. during my stay. It started out like a minor pain about 2in above my wrist, 2 days later it was swollen and spread to my hand and half way up my arm. Wasn't warm at all or red, but it was still a clot that ran from my hand to my elbow. I thought it was just tendionitis
  3. I'm in Parma Hts. if that counts. Got done on June 5th at Parma hospital

    What kind of fish?
  5. country fried steak and buttermilk biscuits smothered in gravy and fried tatters
  6. I'm just 6 weeks out. Was just wondering... Saw a Planters Nuts commercial on TV a few minutes ago and it got me thinking lol.
  7. Each and every person is different. All depends on how your body reacts to the stress and trauma of the surgery. I had absolutely zero pain after surgery but for the following 2 weeks I felt like a whipped mule. Just take each day in stride, rest as much as you can and you'll be up and around before you know it.
  8. Best wishes... you're gonna do great!
  9. Are we allowed to have them? I love Cashews. And I know nuts are an excellent source of Protein. But can we digest them properly now and all that good stuff? I'd hate to think I could never have a cashew again in my life Anyone know?
  10. Good luck... you're gonna do great!
  11. As long as you're getting your fluids in I think you're OK drinking mostly at night. Everyone keeps different schedules after all.
  12. I'm sure you could. Of course there would be MAJOR complications if someone ever OD'd on the X and had to have their sleeved stomach pumped. So I would advise against it.
  13. I haven't allowed myself the opportunity to have a moment such as these. Once I realized I was too fat I stopped hanging out with any of my friends or doing the holidays or family functions out of embarrassment. In the past 15 years I've missed family and friends weddings, graduations, family reunions, the funerals of 3 different friends, a cousin, one of my favorite uncles, and my grandfather. Worst of all, if I wasn't such a fat ass, I could have probably been there to prevent the suicide of my best friend instead of hiding in the house hoping not to be seen by anyone out of fear of what they might think or say. For that I'll never forgive myself.
  14. Just had a braut with a bun yesterday. Just try it when you think you're ready, and go with small bites. If the bread doesn't agree with you, you can always take it away and still eat the dog and kraut.
  15. Judging by some of the things you've said about your feelings about your boyfriend, the relationship should have been over a long time ago. If you want my advice, it's time for a clean break and brand new start pertaining to your life without him and you life with your sleeve. That's just my two cents though. I can only go by what I've read. You need to do some searching in your heart and do what feels right for you.
  16. You should be ok. The point of the diet is to help shrink the liver. As long as you didn't go wild eating everything in site, covered in lard, and chased with a Pepsi... just resume the diet and DONT DO IT AGAIN! You can do this!!
  17. Mmmmmmm I love hominy sauteed in a little butter with a dash of salt and pepper. LOVE IT! Hopefully i can have a few bites of it again in the future. Seems like every Doc's restrictions are different. I say if ya want something try it in a small amount. If it doesn't agree with youor digest properly, then ya know not to have it again.
  18. I know whatcha mean... Once upon a time i was 6'4 235lbs of forged steel and sex appeal. Now i'd settle for 250 and moderately good looking lol.
  19. I live in Parma Heights. Got sleeved June 5th at Parma Hospital.
  20. HAHA! The staples look OK. As long as they're not popping out on their own, which is virtually impossible you're fine. The barbs of the staples go in at an inward angle to hold the skin together. So even looking kinda bowed like that, they're still in firmly enough to not worry about it.
  21. Did you drink the whole bottle at once or half then another half a few hours later? Regardless, it should be hitting you before long. Just relax and give it time to work.
  22. I wouldn't worry. Just dont go doing any heavy lifting or extreme sports in the mean time and you'll be fine until Tuesday.
  23. OK Just made them and they're in the fridge chilling. I tasted a spoonful of the green goo I had left from stuffing the eggs and it was AWESOME! I made one Dozen eggs so the family gets to try them as well. Only things i did differently... i added 2 minced cloves of garlic, and I don't care for real chunky guacamole so I processed it down till it was near smooth.
