  1. Everyones doc/plan seems different... What is "stage 3" for you?
  2. I am a female and I had a catheter... Not fun, but my bladder was "asleep" for a while after surgery and it was really necessary... I imagine its easier in a vajayjay than a schmeckel, but I think its the least of your worries! :-)

  4. Congratulations! I cannot wait until I have lost that much!
  5. Shamrock, do you have a nut or doctor that is local for you? Sounds like it would be good to pay them a visit..
  6. I am two weeks post op and SICK of protein shakes... I am gagging them down and hope to be moved to soft foods on Monday...
  7. You should not have had to go through that! I was given a pill crusher and shown how to use it before surgery... The pill will taste awful ... I sprinkle mine on a tablespoon of Jello... It helps to get it down. Good luck!
  8. Premier protein from Costco... 30 gr protein, 3 gr carbs and 160 cal per serving... 3x a day is 480 cal... A bit more if I add flavor syrups for variety...
  9. This forum hurts and helps at the same time! I am 2.5 weeks out - still on protein and soup and just read the post of someone 7 days out told to start scrambled eggs! Apparently each doctor has their own thing... There is nothing consistent except the surgery!
  10. Great idea... Thanks!
  11. 500 is a lot for protein shakes? I have 3 per day and they average 160-180 calories each.. I supplement the rest w broth or soup. Hmmmmmm....
  12. I think she was just offering advice! We are all here to help each other, right? As with any advice, "eat the fish and spit out the bones", meaning we are all free to follow or disregard what seems to be a good fit for us...
  13. I know it varies, we are all different sizes and getting in different amounts of exercise... I was just wondering if I might be eating too much... I am two weeks post op and average 650-700 calories daily... Does that seem like too much? About 500 of those calories are from Protein shakes...
  14. What a great idea, and you can add shrimp to so many things! eggs, Pasta, veggies, salad... I cannot wait until I can have shrimp...
  15. I just tried butternut squash bisque, it was delish and 1/2 cup very filling. A nice change from the sweet protein shakes!
  16. Ugh, I feel for you... Luckily in my case, my husband does a lot of the cooking anyway, so while I am on Protein, I stay out of kitchen when husband and kids eat.
  17. You guys rock. Thank you so much for your answers... I am going to check out the Flintstones chewables.
  18. I use unflavored unjury in broths... The taste is passable. I don't like the fact that it can't be heated over 140 degrees or the protein starts to clump.
  19. I am currently taking Opurity multivitamin for sleeves and bypass (bought online) but they are HUGE and taste gnarly... but, the dosage is only once per day... I was thinking of switching to Flintstones chewables, but they are 2x a day... I am wondering why gummie vitamins are not allowed... Gelatin must digest ok, because I am allowed jello... Anyone have any insight?
  20. I ate the bacon in the morning... The reason for not eating after midnight is for the anesthesia.
