  1. Thank u for this thread. I've been considering starting back to the tanning bed myself. But my surgeon did tell me that if I were to be exposed to a tanning bed or the sun, it could cause my incisions to scar worse making them redder or a dark purple color. I never even thought about sun-block chap stick. What a great idea! Thanks!
  2. Hello everyone! I'm so excited to be here, and to be on the other side of this surgery. I was banded on 4/18/07 and I've lost 24 lbs total. (about 12 of that was during my pre-surgery diet.) I'm feeling better everyday and my incisions are healing nicely. But I need to ask some of your opinions on something. I'm still hungry. I eat until I THINK I should stop. I'm not really sure if I'm feeling full. Is this suppose to be a definite feeling? Usually it's around a 1/2 cup full of Soup. When I stop eating, in my mind, I feel like I could eat more, but I don't because I know I shouldn't. Then about an hour later, I'm starving again. Sometimes, I just think the "hunger" is in my mind. But my stomach continues to growl and make horrible noises. Maybe my band isn't tight enough, or maybe it's still new and I need to get used to eating in smaller quantities. Do you guys have any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!
