  1. I am almost two weeks post op and all the salads I am barely holding down. Tuna, chicken, seafood salad, etc. strangely, I ate a piece of chicken and a small sausage topping off a pizza and chew it well and it felt good.
  2. o.k. So I am barely 2 weeks post-op and all last week I have been walking 1.5-2.0 speed walking. Yesterday, after 2.0 miles I felt faint. I try not to gulp my water, but I drink about half a bottle in 2.0. Is anyone else having this problem? I am enjoying not having sciactica prohibit me from walking a mile, but am I over doing it?
  3. I am taking Optisource from Walgreens. It is made for bariatric patients and has everything I need. I take four chewables pills a day. Is Optisource overkill? I like them, but it is $27.00 a bottle.
  4. After six weeks of being a good boy, I am ready for a little bad stuff. Do you know any places? I heard Slater's 50/50 has bacon.
  5. I have to say the women on here know what they are talking about.
  6. o.k. My fellow sleevers. I am coming to San Diego for a convention during the summer and I will just be phasing out from soft foods to real food. Where should I eat? What are some great places I should hit up? Is there a market, other than Whole foods, where I can get prepared food for a sleever? Lastly, any cool places I should hit up? Thanks.
  7. Below is my information for myfitnesspal and fitbit. Hook up with me!
  8. Hello pre-opers, I am nine post-op and I have lost 40 pounds in 22 days! That is right. My plan is to lose 50 pounds in a month. So is it worth it? YES!!!!!!! At the same time, I have this online forum, a monthly support group and I am exercising. So it is not foolproof, I have found you have to put some work into it. Believe in yourself!
  9. Please read my blog on this. It was too funny for me. For others, it was serious, because some people have to figure out why they overeat or if they will be able to deal with not losing over 100 pounds. I know why I over eat and I refuse not to lose 100 pounds!
  10. You can follow me too. Disneyteach. If you have a fitbit, hookup with me, too. Hopefully, we can be each other's support system.
  11. Hello everyone. Right now, I am not walking, due to staples inmy stomach from being sleeved last Monday. My goal is to do the Disney Half Marathon next January. Since June, I have been walking, but sciactica has kicked my butt after 1-3 miles. So I am hoping that will go away and I can do the marathon walking. Is there a group of marathoners for WLS people? Is there a blog or website for training for the marathon? Is there a certain shoe for bigger men that you suggest? Thanks for any help.
  12. The thing is you can't expect WLS to be taken seriously, if no one is willing to stand up and be proud of it. Honestly, once you say you have had it, other people might follow your example or want to talk to you about it. I would be worried if people didn't know I went through drastic changes, because that means you were unsuccessful in losing weight. I am waiting for that shocked stare from everyone that says "Holy crap, you lost a lot of weight." Don't worry about telling people, because if you are successful, they will know something is up.
  13. I have to say I found out that day time tv sucks and so does all the movies out right now. I am so bored!
  14. That catheter hurt the worst of everything and it continue to have my pee burn for two days.
