I felt light headed during the first couple of weeks too. The walking is good, but take it slow. I remember not feeling as tired and light headed after week 4.

Walking is great, but slow down a little. If you're feeling faint or dizzy, you're overdoing it a little. Keep walking, just ease up on yourself. You're not going to get the benefits of the jump start

I'd increase my water intake and take it down a notch. Great start, Keep it up!
o.k. So I am barely 2 weeks post-op and all last week I have been walking 1.5-2.0 speed walking. Yesterday, after 2.0 miles I felt faint. I try not to gulp my water, but I drink about half a bottle in 2.0. Is anyone else having this problem? I am enjoying not having sciactica prohibit me from walking a mile, but am I over doing it?
