Tonight, 20/20 is talking about celebrity weight lost, feeding tube diet, lap band dieting, how much people spend on dieting, yo-yo dieting and dieting in general. it is on right now.

So ABC news story tonight was about 1-800-GET-THIN and how they have killed six of their patients with lap band surgery. Now I was good until that story.

OK. Post-ops, Do you mind if I learn from your mistakes? What mistakes did you make? I know I shouldn't eat and drink at the same time, but is there other advice? I am about to make one and go to Disney World in a month, but I am willing to risk it.

I know. It freaked me out. He is a nice guy and this is a center of excellence, so what else can I do?

My doctor told me today that the backup plan is gastric bypass, if he makes a mistake with the stapling gun. Have you seen this happen? He said he only had to do this once when a patient couldn't swallow food after four months.

I told the doctor today before I see him on Monday at 8:30 am that I do not want to die. He said he has a problem with death, too. I hope that is true. I will let you know on Tuesday.

Sounds like what it will be like after too, if you cheated.

I am May 14th, too. There is a boat load of surgeries during May 14-15.

Thanks. You gave me an idea: sucking the BBQ sauce off of a rib. huh? I might have to do that after surgery. BBQ and movie popcorn are two things I will go to my grave eating, just not a lot after May 14.

Thanks for the support! It does feel good to have my gym shorts falling down at the gym. I just hope it is this good after the surgery and I can eat a piece of chicken.

My doctor said I can have a meal at night, because I am diabetic. The only reason you do the liquid diet is to shrink your liver, so the surgery goes faster, plus it makes you healthier for the surgery. Ask your doctor.
