  1. I just want to say that this is suppossed to be a support site not attack eachother site. Just makes me sick how wrapped up people can get over there own OPINIONS (SP?). Anyway Happy Birthday! I think enigmachik said it best a few sips won't kill you just take it easy. I need to figure out how to unfollow this post no offense to you but I don't like the negitivity just not what we need right now listen to me now I', negitive! AHHHHHH! Happy Thoughts!
  2. I agree with what everyone else is saying. You have plenty of life time to have those "legal" drinks of alcohol. Just wait 3 months and see how you feel. It is not worth it!
  3. I hope all goes okay for you. I had an infection too but they let me out that night. Hopefully you will have like results! Praying for you.
  4. I had that issue my first 2 weeks out. Just because I was liquid in and liquid out as the others said. I started soft foods last night and today and "things" have been more normal. Plus alot of sugar-free stuff can cause that too. It does for me I know.
  5. Thank you both. I know these things but I guess I just got to get it in my head. It will take a bit to get my eyes acustom to what will fit. I have tried the smaller plates thing. My brain thinks I have to finish it or it's a waste! I guess that is a mind issue I need to deal with. I really don't want to strech the sleeve that is why I was concerned too. Thanks again!
  6. I started the soft foods diet today. Not sure why but I thought I could eat 2 scrambled eggs with shredded cheese on them. I thought there was no way I would not be able to eat it all. I mean I used to have 2 eggs, bacon and toast and a big glass of milk! I know this is not the same stomach I am having a hard time adjusting. Does it get easier? I hope so, anyway, I eat probably a little more than half and I found myself even though I was overlly full trying to eat more because I didn't want to waste it! What the heck is wrong with me! I guess as my stomach heals it will get eaiser, I don't know! I will eventually learn what I can eat in one sitting but I thought since I wasn't eating the veggies and starch the protein could be more to match that diagram they gave me. IDK it is also my first day of foods. Thanks for reading any advice would help me.
  7. You really made me laugh out loud when I read this! I can totally relate.
  8. I am posting this here because no other than fellow PCOSers would fully understand this. I STARTED yesterday! What's crazy is I hadn't had me period since the end of August and of coarse when I am only a few days out from surgery here comes aunt flo! So not only newly being sleeved I gotta deal with that. I guess it's a good thing maybe as I start to loose weight I will become more regular. I know that happened to me before when I lost alot of weight. Oh well I just wanted to complain somewhere about it and I feel better now. Next thing on my to do list is lazer hair removal. Maybe that can be a reward once the weight comes off.
  9. I'm not sure why but I had this happen to me too. I have PCOS which causes my periods to be abnormal. Wouldn't you know I hadn't had my period since August and Yesterday I started. Which was 4 days post op. I know when I had lost weight in the past it made me more regular.
  10. I'm feeling better today. I'm having trouble telling the difference between certain pains. I swear I am starting to feel hunger but I am not sure because sometimes it's right after drink something. I don't know. Well my rude little boy will not stop bothering me so gotta go. ( he was reading as I was typing thats why I said that. )

  15. The day is finally here! I'm more tired than nervous now. I couldn't sleep last night but I guess I will be doing alot of that today. Good Luck to all my fellow sleeve buddies that are going throught this with me today. Also thank you for all that have paved the way and letting us know what to expect. HERE I GO OFF TO HOSPITAL! I will try to follow up from the Hospital but if not talk to you in a day or 2.
  16. Got a call tonight. My surgery will be the first one Friday morning. That's great because I won't have time to dwell and be worried. It does suck cuz I got to get up @ 4 am! Anyway, hope anyone that had surgery today is recovering well.
  17. I am with you. I have been struggling through this pre-op diet. I feel week and dizzy. I have been getting plenty of liquid. So I am guessing it's carb withdraw. I went through this when I was on Atkins the first few days. But the differnece was I WASNT hungry! It's nice to know I am not alone in this. I have been heating up chicken broth and adding some seasoning to make it seem like soup. Also adding ice to drinks to chew on something. Sucking on sugar-free candy too.Trying to keep my mind off the hunger but it's hard. Good luck and know I'm there with you!
  18. Good Luck 11/28/12 sleevers!
  19. Good luck keep your eyes on the prize! We will be thinking of all of our 11/27/12 sleevers today! Happy thoughts and prayers your way.
  20. I was in the same boat. Let me tell you as the day draws nearer it doesn't get any easier! I work as a medical coder and I read horror stories all day long. I just got to have faith it will all be okay. I am dwelling on the days after and my goals and Christmas so it doesn't give me time to worry about the worst. I wish there was a way to not think about it but it's human nature. Good luck to you and I hope all goes well for you. BTW I had toi do a 6 month diet it all depends on the insurance carrier. I am currently 3 days out! Crazy!
  21. I never was able to get back into the yahoo account. I am doing something wrong. Oh well. I pray all of us have a great week! Let's keep our eyes on the prize! MAybe that will help with the nerves. That's what I tell myself but it's not working. IM NERVOUS!
  22. Wow it is creeping up! Getting excited and nervous. I feel totally ready but not ready. I can't explain it. Fell like I'm going to forget stuff.
  23. Well surgery is less than a week! Next Friday! I have a sore throat hope it's nothing because I really don't want to put off the date. I'm getting nervous though. How did everyone do? How is the pain?
