  3. I had that problem, plain water was like a lead brick. I just started adding some lemon juice or lime juice. I am also able to handle cold liquids. It was just in the last 3 days that I could handle plain water

  7. Good luck! I was lucky my doctor didn't require a pre-op diet, just was told not to gain and to try and lose weight.
  8. I look forward to going into a store and buying off the rack again instead of having to special order clothes and shoes.... Just had my first weight check and have lost 25 pounds in about two weeks.
  9. My shoe size is up 3 sizes from where I was at 20... I hope I can lose a couple
  10. I was sleeved on the 16th and yes there is a calender that shows up coming surgery. Oh the gas pain was the worst, thought I was having heart failure or something it hurt so bad.
  11. Wow I had my surgery on the 16th and didn't have a BM until the 21st.
  12. One of the things I had read from a doctor said 2 weeks... I guess some of it will depend on how you feel.
  13. How many shoe sizes have you gone down?
  14. Most of the fear hit me when I was in the pre-op room, but once the staff came in with me I calmed down... I don't remember anything past going to the operating room and getting moved the table... they used something like an air bed to move me it was COOL. You will do fine!
  15. 8 days out and feeling hungry too (just very slightly)... have you tried adding some sugar free pudding mix to your protein shakes and blending them in the blender gives it more "body"
  16. I am 8 days post op and water is the worst for me. I have to have juice of some type mixed in even a few drops of lemon juice helps. Room temp is the worst for me.
  17. I had my surgery on March 16th after 7:30 am it was supposed to be 7:10 but they couldn't get the IV in. I remember being taken to the operating room and placed on the table then lights out... I woke up sometime around noon briefly and fell asleep off and on until after 4pm. I was told I would be out of the hospital after 3pm the next day but that didn't happen, I was told I would be walking four hours after surgery that didn't happen. I went for a walk some time after midnight. I was having LOTS of chest pain and couldn't take a deep breath due the air pumped in the stomach and they did EKG and chest x-rays to make sure. After I started burping more that pain eased. Saturday and Sunday until about 3pm I could only drink about 8oz total. Sunday afternoon I could do a two to three oz every few hours. I slept alot. Most of the pain was getting out of the bed or in it... it was too high. I have one spot on my right side that aches the most and it is due to the internal stitches in the abdominal wall. Monday the 19th at around 8am one of the doctors told me he was going to release me.
  18. I was sleeved on March 16 and my worst pain comes from my internal stitches, vertically located near one of my incisions
