  1. I've had open gallbladder surgery, back surgery, 2 c-sections and foot surgery and this by far was the easiest! Surgery was on Wednesday (10/3) and I went back to work today and had absolutely no issues and didn't even tire. Just sipped my liquids all day and even went into the kitchen at lunch time and had my beef broth (or a few spoonfuls) and did feel uncomfortable at all! I know everyone is different but seeing how easy this has been for me I wouldn't think twice about recommending it to people.
  2. It's funny I was telling my husband this morning that I think the Dr. took out the wrong part of the stomach and left in the side with the hunger hormones. Then I drank some broth and felt like I had a huge brunch at our favorite restaurant. I was also sleeved on 10/3 and had an unknown hiatel hernia removed. I have had absolutely no pain but feel a little pressure from where they repaired the hernia. Have been shopping (little bit) yesterday and today and am going back to work tomorrow. This will be the real test - have my broth, Jello and Protein drinks ready to go. Last night I dreamed I ate spicy corn nuts (I don't even eat them) and was hoping the Dr. wouldn't notice
  3. I was sleeved on 10/3 and really didn't want to weigh myself till 1 week because I knew of the extra water weight. Couldn't stop myself this morning and am at the same weight I was the day of surgery. I had a bad cold the week before and wasn't eating much so I did lose a lot that week before.

I was sleeved on 10/3. I'm enjoying beef broth, sugar free jello and EAS low carb protein drinks! Especially their cafe latte. I have 2 weeks liquid then 2 weeks soft. Good luck!

    October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

Had to cancel my pre-op appt tomorrow because I got called to jury duty. Did my hospital pre-reg and picked up my drugs! Surgery at 11:00 am on 10/3.
  8. a few more to add to my list: to be able to see where I'm shaving to be able to dry after the shower without worrying about the nooks and crannies to be able to tuck a shirt into pants to run across the street without my boobs bouncing all over to not hide behind people in pictures and hold my chin way up to allevaite several chins
  9. ok I started my period a week before surgery (luckily) - and I am starving all day. just curious if that still happens after surgery?

the new cafe caramel is wonderful. I know 2 other people who had surgery and it's the only protein drink they will drink. I just stocked up today!
  15. Lovex5 - our list are identical - weighing less than my husband is huge! He used to be close to 400 pounds but 3-1/2 years ago had the vertical sleeve and duodenal switch and now is in the low to mid 150's. It's embarrasing when he puts on my sweatshirt and drowns in it
