Sorry it's been so long since an update, but I'm officially 4 weeks out today and I'm down 37lbs woot woot! feels great, but still adjusting to everything being so new!

Now that I'm in the home stretch, food isn't as big of a deal....I mean, it still smells good. I just keep reminding myself of the hard work it took for me to get this far, so any derailing my progress would not make sense at this point. Rocking out with the earbuds in at work (last day til June, woo hoo) and drinking my chicken broth. YUM!

Ahhh, how exciting! Mine is set for Monday, but they don't let me find out what time until 2pm today....tik tok tik tok, all I keep doing is watching the clock at work. Good luck to you!!!! -
It took me about 3 days....but everyone's different. Hang in there! I'm fighting through it too, but it honestly gets easier every day! Good luck to you! -Emily

I've always been a big girl, but I've never been in love with food....or so I thought! I've been on this pre-surgical diet and now I'm craving everything I smell. What is going on with me?????

My surgery is next Monday, so I'm on Day #2 of my pre-surgical liquid diet.....never thought it'd be rough. Thanks for the tip though, I'm gonna go buy some of the EAS protein shakes tonight. Right now I'm doing Muscle milk and I'm still hungry

Pre-Op Liquid Only Diet....um, What Can I Have?

This whole ride has been a bunch of ups and downs, but recently started speeding up. I was approved on the 15th, passed my nicotine test on the 26th, and received APril 9th as my surgery date this week. I went in and had my pre-admin testing done yesterday (11 viles of blood, really!?!?!?, chest x-ray, ekg thing) and I have my food seminar on Monday. However, I'm suppose to be starting my liquid diet on Monday (1 week before my surgery).....so I was wondering if anyone had any pointers of what I can have while I'm on this diet? Also, my surgery is the day after Easter....can I just say OUCH on missing out on the goodies. Oh well, it will all be worth it in the end! Right? -
