    Not Enough, Really?

If you get bored easily, try 20 minutes on one machine, then jump over for 20 minutes on another.

    November Exercise!

Chicken and pudding.....hmmmmmmmm, it definately would help chicken go down! Ok, got a talking to from the personal trainer....somehow she can tell that I've been slacking in the cardio and eating areas (gee, I wonder how, I look exactly the same that I did in september!!!!! So, I think for the next few weeks, I'm going to try much harder to work on the diet thing. And the cardio. I know, I know. I feel like I'm repeating myself over and over again. I know I've said this at least 5 times this month. I think its time for some chicken and spinach!
  8. Sooooo not hungry after surgery. It took about 5 days before I really missed eating anything. For those days right after surgery, just the sight of food would make me nauseous. As far as pre op diets, every surgeon is different. Mine said no foods after midnight the night before surgery. Some doctors require liquids only for 10 days, some doctors require low carb, check with your surgeon for their requirements. Also, as far as will power is concerned, you don't need that much. The band makes it easier (not easy, easier) to lose the weight. Keep reading the posts on here, you'll get a good feel for what to expect...
  9. Ouchie Losing, Hope it heals up fast for you. Broken toes are no fun!

    November Exercise!

Isn't it funny, that seems like sooo much food. And the chicken would sooo not work for me that early either. But it would definately work, I mean, you get your lean meats, lots of veggies, and healthy oils. How many calories do you consume on an average day?
  11. OH Juli, I was thinking of asking for a slight fill. I'm still hovering around 1700 calories, so much more if I add in sugar. I was thinking of just asking for .1ccs, but is it rediculous? I don't know. 2.0cc's in my 4cc band is not enough, 2.4 and I'm closed shut. Any opinions?
  12. Keythra, good luck at that interview!

    November Exercise!

Di, I have to get off the sugar too, its bad, really bad. What types of food will you be eating?
  14. I think I said it in the other post, but I'm out for this week. I'm going to let the heel spur and shin splints heal up first, and concentrate on spin this week!

    November Exercise!

JennJenn, I would wait at least 6 weeks post surgery for weights. You can pretty much do most cardio right now, as long as theres no pulling on your stomach, something jumpy like cardio kickboxing or running, I'd hold off on that. Welcome to the thread!!!!
  16. Yeah.....right. I sooo don't think so!!!! As far as you and KarenG. I'm just so excited for you guys!!!! Sometimes I get really anxious about running, like when I got up to 3 minutes, I just wanted to run for 5, I tried, then I hurt myself. Big Dummy! I'll get back there, one day!!! On to Spinning class for now!:biggrin1:
  17. My thanksgiving was pretty good. I often wonder how I can eat a small portion of food on a day meant to be stuffed to the gills and feel completely satisfied, until dessert. That junk just slides right down. I can't believe it. I think the band should be much more descriminatory against sugar laden foods. Although, I guess that's where my work should come in. I figured it was thanksgiving and had a slice of pie anyways. I know I won't do it again until Christmas....I hope!

    Spinning class?

How'd the spin thread get on the second page???? Oh well, I'm getting back to spin (I HOPE) tomorrow morning. I haven't been in a few weeks, but I need something else to do while I take time off from trainer and running. I hope I'm not too sore!
  19. KarenG. and Daddy, I am so excited for your 20 minute runs! I can't believe it. Just a few weeks ago we were all discussing how nervous we were to run 60 seconds, and here you guys are running 20 minutes! WOW! I'm putting running on hold for a while due to shin splints and my heel spur. I think I'm going to go back to spin for a couple of weeks and try the running thing out again at week 2. Actually, all exercise seems to be slowing down with the holiday season and all the overtime at work. For instance, this week I have to cancel the trainer and postpone till the week after because I am working on a major project right now. I'm working on the bandster rules of eating though (I hadn't really been following them to a tee), so I'm hoping the weight won't hike up while the exercise slows. And guys, don't get tooo cocky, cause me and losingjusme will be right behind you!!!! (JK)
