Any May 20th surgeries out there?

Thank you Improving me for the well wishes. I'm moving forward just following the rules. Deelb, I am taking it slow, just got sleeved yesterday. I've been on water and ice chips all day. Today going to try broth. I woke up ever hour and walked. I will walk every hour tomorrow and the gradually increase my distance and lower the amounts of walks I take. I have little gas in my left shoulder. It's bother some but not unbearable. Gas strips and walking have helped with that. No real incision pain, more like muscle soreness in my entire abdomen. I was having trouble urinating but after a couple hours, I'm like a water well, lol. Still no BM, hoping for one sooner rather than later.

Hey not bad. Really sore like I did 1000 push ups. Have been getting up and walking every hour and to loose the little breathing machine. I had a hernia repair so I have some chest discomfort. Not doing to bad with liquids. I was on water and ice chips ll day, but moving onto broth tomorrow. How ar you.

Any May 20th surgeries out there?

Hey all I'm doing well. My surgery was at9:30 am 5/21. I am home and doing well. I have been walking all day. Every hour. The pain was moderate but not unmanageable. The most pain comes from center of chest were I can feel the hernia repair. I have been sipping on water and ice chips all day. I will start broth tomorrow. I have 4 ounce cups so I will sip one very hour. My surgeon sent me home with compression socks for next three days. And a small machine that helps lungs, I am to breath in it every hour. I start liquid anti biotics in the morning. I had Nausea when I woke up from anesthesia but none now. I am sleeping in the bed sitting up. Still walking throughout the night. I will walk out side tomorrow if I can. Okay later everyone. We will see what day 2 brings.

    May 21 surgery

Ok all, so I had a successful surgery. I experienced pain, but not hat I couldn't tolerate. My threshold is really high. I've been walking all day up and down hall. The worst pain is that i feel the hernia repair. No problems swallowing yet. I've only had water and ice chips so far.

    5 days out... too nervous?

Thank you so much. I know he will be with me through it all. Yes there are actually sizes. The surgeon determines which one to use. The more weight you have to loose, I think the smaller the sleeve may be. However, they don't vary by much. I'm gonna do all I can to get up and be mobile as soon as they give me the go. Will keep all posted.

Wow teemarie I'm sorry to hear that as I know that support is important. I'm sure he is just concerned about you and just wants you to be safe. He is probably also concerned that you may change with this change. However he has to consider that it was a little selfish to tell you something like that the night before surgery which just places added pressure. I'm sure once you are in recovery phase he will be more understanding. It's hard living in the bodies we are in wether its our fault or not. No one REALLY understands unless they have personally dealt with this issue. My prayers are with you. Keep us posted.
  21. My study was an at home study. The mailed me a device that I had to use for 3 days and send back. It was simple. Then I picked up my CPAP from a local office. I hate the thing but it does help me sleep better.

One more day of clear liquids before the big day! It was a little tough. I can't imagine not being hungry ans only being filled up by a couple of bites of food, but I shall soon see. It's almost like a dream. Good luck to those having surgery tomorrow.
