  1. Hi Shell C,

    Thanks for your reply.

Must make sure we don't press "I like it" or we might end up on Facebook.< /p>

I am already signed up for facebook although I never use it. My niece logged me on to it.

Like you, I would also like to keep my anonymity if possible.

Also would like to help others with their choice of selecting the sleeve as I believe that it is worthwhile and a support group like this is helpful to anyone making the choice.I suppose it is a bit of a dilemma in selecting a balance in meeting our own needs and also helping others.

I wish we were not linked to other sites as I find it invasive.

  2. Hi all, I dont post much but read a lot of ur success stories. It was 3 months yesterday since my VSG and today I weighed in 81lbs lighter. I only have 3lbs to go to be under 400lbs for the first time in years. I am so overjoyed. I've been obese for the majority of my life and it is the best feeling to know that Im finally in control.......All ur stories are such an inspiration to me. Thx for lettin me have my say. :)

  3. I love my sleeve also... best decision i've ever made. was 219kgs when i had my sleeve done on 5th dec 2011 and now im down to 190kgs. Am due back to see my surgeon tomorrow for the first time since surgery so i hope he is as happy as me. i really find these forums so full of inspirational people. it is great to hear everybody elses stories and i have learned so much from them.

  4. Hi Holly, I had my sleeve on 5th Dec 2011 and before it I weighed in at 483lbs... I am currently 428. I had the sleeve done as I was too big for the by-pass to be done safely. The surgeon said that i may still have to get the by-pass done if sufficient weight is not lost but I dont think I will need it. Hope whichever u decide goes well for you.

  5. Hi, I had my sleeve done on 5th Dec and i feel fantastic. Pre-op I weighed in at 219.7kgs... (horrified to admit that). Nearly 7 weeks on and im down to 194.7kgs. i was terrified goin down for my op but since i had it done I just feel so positive about what the future holds. I'm very lucky because I have had no bad effects at all from it. I can eat anything and have done since day 3. I dont feel hungry at all anymore. I have tons more energy than I used to. I suffered with Migraines constantly and I suffered with sleep apena. Both of these have stopped since i started losing weight. I also suffered from lympodemia in my leg but since surgery it too has gone. I really feel like I have been given a fresh chance at life and I'm gonna grab it with both hands and not let it get out of control again. I'm getting married in July so I cant wait to see how much weight I have gone by then.

    The Future Is Mine...
