  1. I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy on April 4, 2012. Im 5'4" and weighed in at 270 pounds. I currently weigh approximately 170 pounds, but I would really like to get down to 140 pounds. It seems that no matter what I do I just cant seem to get the rest of the weight off!post-159631-14216266299543_thumb.jpg

  2. I really love the Leslie Sansone walking program dvd's. Some people find them too easy but I'm big enough and have lived long enough as a couch potato that they are challenging for me! She has tons of different ones -- my favorites right now are the ones she did with the American Heart Association.

I've heard that a lot of people also like the Biggest Loser workout dvd's and I've been meaning to try them.

Back to the gym -- I would not let the skinny people deter you. But I totally understand the logistical hassles' date=' that's why I'm working out at home and not at the gym![/quote']

    I also love Leslie Sansone's DVD's!

  3. Great question' date=' I have been struggling with this as well. I have tried the plastic ring sizer from walmart..no go. Totally uncomfortable then I used a bandaid wrapped around. Figured next would be yarn. I just wash my hands a lot and so I can see that getting funky very quickly.... Maybe our sleeve friends have some ideas![/quote']

Use needlepoint yarn and coat it a few times with clear nail polish. That's what I used to do when I wore my boyfriends high school class ring. The polish makes a nice Water proof seal.

  4. I bought mine at best buy and just love it loged 12' date='104 steps today <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> . It will log it into my fitness pal as well . Best buy has them in store for the same price but if in 30 days I hate it or it stops working I can drive over and return it <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> but right now it's my best friend.[/quote']

Mine lasted two months! Hopefully they will send me a new one!

  5. OK so I loved my fitbit until it just quit working. I tried all of their suggestions and I am currently waiting to see if they will be sending me a new one. I hope this is not a common occurrence! I will let you know how it turns out.

  6. Well they have figured out what has been making me throw up. When I had my surgery done my stomach spiraled after they put in the staples. I know this because they did an EGD the day after surgery. So I was admitted into the hospital on thursday and had an EGD on friday. Come to find out I had developed a stricture in the spiral so my doctor used a balloon and stretched it out. Hopefully this solves my problem. Ive lost 70lbs so far and I am so happy about that!

  7. I am 8 weeks out. I started throwing up on day one and I still throw up every single day...sometimes twice a day. It sucks!!!! The doctor says it should get better soon' date=' but I am still waiting. Sometimes its because of overeating, or eating the wrong thing, or taking my Vitamins, or not eating for a long period, but mostly, I throw up in the morning if I try to put anything at all in my sleeve.

On a side note MiTurner247 are you from michigan?[/quote']

    No I'm from Illinois.

  8. I love my fitbit! I have forgotten it at home a coue of times and it really bums me out because it looks like I didn't move all day. It had really pushed me to get moving!
