    Plastics

There is a whole section on plastics on here. You may want to read under that section.
  6. Get it. My doc said that's why I didn't feel like a train hit me.

  8. I have one similar to this one. It shows the same bodyfat % as my doc ofc scale. Mine shows I've gone down from 43% to 27%. Even if it's not 100 % accurate. It still motivsting and shows its going DOWN.

    Body Media...

I had one (body bug). I thought it was ok but got tired of paying the monthly fees. My husband has fit bit. He loves it. No monthly fees. I'm thinking about getting one and the scale that automatically updates. I think it will really help me in my first year of maintenance.

    I Have Stopped Losing!

Me too! I've recently had to increase my exercise to get the scale moving after about almost no movement in two months.
  12. I need to work on this too. I agree with trying to find a hobby to keep your hands busy. Try exercising when you know you're not really hungry. Crafts? Bubble bath, paint your finger nails...?. When I quit smoking years ago, when I got the urge to smoke, I would make myself wash dishes by hand. Can't smoke when your hands are all wet. Most of the time the urge would go away.

    Getting Sleeved Tomorrow!

I had revision. Band removed and sleeve done on the same day. I'd had the lapband for slightly over 2 years. I asked the doctor if I had alot of scar tissue. She said no. I did have a two week pre-op diet. Let us know how you're doing.
  14. After almost two months of bouncing between 161 - 163 I finally made it to 159. I'm.so close to my 145 goal I can almost taste it. My ultimate goal is 140 to give myself some wiggle room. I'm a slow loser so evey lb. has been a struggle. I had to start exercising 2 hrs a day to get the scale moving again. I know I will start bouncing between 159-161 before I lose again because that's my pattern but I happy to see 150's. Hopefully it won't be to long before I see the 140's. Then the real struggle will begin. Learning how to maintain which I never been able to do for more than 5 mins before.
  15. Hi Bryan, As far as I know, I had the standard 85% reduction. It's my understanding there's a slight difference in bougie size, the individual's natural stomach size and the surgeon's own technique. I had a 36 bougie. Many ppl get the 34. I never had trouble drinking Water or Protein shakes in the beginning or eating when allowed. I know there are some ppl who say they can only eat a couple of bites for weeks / months. Just wanted to let you know not everyone experiences the same thing. Perhaps you should also discuss with the doctor a slightly larger bougie vs. a larger stomach. Definitely ask if the larger stomach size would give you the benefit of the hunger hormone "removal" as with an 85% stomach removal. Even with my "standard" sleeve, I don't feel like I ever lost the hunger like some ppl experience. I never forget to eat like some and certainly still enjoy the taste of food. Sometimes I feel like I can still eat A LOT. I know I have issues I need to work on including eating slower. It's an old habit that's hard to break. I would hate for you go through all the trouble of having surgery with it's risks and complications only to be unhappy with the results and the possibility of wanting/ needing additional surgery. Just something to think about. Definitely discuss with your surgeon. Good luck and let us know how you're doing and what you decide.
  16. I'm 8 mos post. The last few months (3) I've "only" lost 2 lbs ea. It has been SO difficult!! I exercise an hour a day about 6 days a week. My calories are under 1000. Usually between 800-900. This is so difficult. I wish I could workout harder not longer but, bad knees and bad back makes it difficult. I guess I will have to start working out 2 hours a day. I don't think I can eat any less than I am. I rarely get under 70 grams of protein. Everything else is veggies & fruits. I'm ready to get to goal already!!!

    Body Wraps?

I've used body wraps for years. I just get a few a few times a year (they're expensive) but, I DO believe they help with the shape of my body. For example, before the first few wraps I got (that particular year, I got a package of 5), I did not have an hourglass shape to my body. After the wraps I had a more defined hourglass shape. At that time, I did at least 3 a month a part. If you continue to eat well, not overeat. Avoid alcohol.... drink water, I believe the shape or the "tightness" does stay. I just had one a couple of weeks ago. I look forward to having more in the next few months.

    Stall Or Am I Done?

I've been bouncing between 163 to 161 for about two months.Haven't been in 150's for 2 yrs and only for a very short time. Before that 15 years ago? I totally believe the body has "set points" and resists going below those. I think this is were they separate the girls from the hard core women. We cam do it. It may take longer than we'd like but never give up! Guys, I love ya. So don't give me a hard time. You know you've got the "more muscle" advantage and it's easier for you than us girls.
  19. Of course everyone is different. I'm 8 mos post op. I don't think I ever lost my hunger, desire to eat or enjoyment of food. I don't eat as much but I still enjoy all the food. I wish I had lost the hunger but I guess it doesn't happen to everyone.

    Hubby Is Mad

I had a band to sleeve revision. Aside from the weight issue. I just knew I couldn't live the rest of my throwing up & sliming every day. The chances are you will have to have the band out at some point in your life. Probably better now when you're younger than later. I don't regret it at all even though my weightloss has been extremely slow. I would tell your husband you need his support because he's the most important person in your life. Your life partner.

    Eyelashes Growing!

Biotin helped my eyelashes grow. I agree eating better helps skin plus the extra water. Good for you.

    Handeling Stress?

Take a walk, call a friend, take deep breaths, take a bath. Try meditation. I just saw something on fb. I'm going make myself a fridge magnet. "Don't reward yourself with food. You're not a dog."
  23. I've been using biotin since surgery. I added biosil about 3-4 mos postop. I think it's helped. Of course the hair all over my body has grown like crazy too. I do like my longer eye lashes. Crazy nose hair not so good. Oh well, if it helps hair my head its worth it
  24. Me too. I've been working out daily 1 hr day sometimes 2. Been going up & down 1-2 lbs last two months.
