12 days out and you are eating?! That may be the problem. My doctor said that I have to wait 3 weeks to eat mashed up foods. Try only drinking liquids for now and call your doctor. A sleeve takes 3 weeks to heal unlike 1 week for bypass and band.

A co-worker who had the sleeve recommended those to me so I think I'll try to get a used set.

I got an Xbox kinect on Cyber Monday this year and really love exercising with it. I only have the Kinect Adventures game, fruit Ninja, and Gun slinger but am going to get some more on pay day. It is really great for working out indoors when it is cold out. I feel embarrassed going to a gym right now because I think people are looking at me and judging how fat I am. I was walking outside in the Spring and Summer but it is so cold out to do that now. I hope using the Kinect will get me exercising more.

I stopped drinking soda about 2 years ago and only ask for Water in restaurants. Before my surgery I could not stand the taste of soda since it burned my throat. I don't think I will ever have some now that i've had surgery unless it is flat Dr. Depper.

I did not work at my company a full year to qualify for the disability leave so had to use 2 PTO days and work from home 2 days. On Monday I am returning to work for the first time. I don't want to lose money or my job so I feel I have to be back ASAP.

Thanks! I will pray that your surgery goes well.

I got sleeved on Tuesday and feel good now. I still burp when drinking but it isn't as bad. My favorite liquid meal is 3 oz of Myoplex chocolate Protein Shake with 3 oz of Water added, then I put in a teaspoon of the new low sugar Almond Joy coffee creamer. It tastes like I'm drinking a liquid Almond Joy candy! yumm!! I also like Sobe Pom Punch life water. What is everyone's favorite drinks? I have to be on liquids for 3 weeks while my sleeve heals up.
How Long Did You Go From The 'idea' To Booking Your Gastric Sleeve Surgery ?

I started the process in July and was sleeved in December 6th. I work for a company that owns hospitals so it only cost $350 for the surgery and $25 copay for each session. I still haven't been billed for the sleep study or EKG but know that's probably coming. I only got the surgery because my mom died from cancer in August at 52 years old. She was 500 lbs and suffered from other obesity related illnesses. I was like "I don't want that to ever happen to me!" so had to do this for my health. I been obese most my life but am very healthy otherwise with no high blood pressure, cholesterol or any illnesses of any kind.
