Where Are My April 2012 Sleevers?

April 23rd here!!! I'm feeling exactly like smh. I'm ashamed to say I've been eating any & everything my heart desires leading up to the dreaded 2wk pre op diet. I'm scared I won't be able to hold out for the whole 2 weeks. Scared that once it's done, it won't work for me. Asking myself if I'm just taking the easy way out and am being lazy by not doing it thru diet & exercise (even though I've tried that one a million times with no long lasting resuts) I'm all over the map. But I do know one thing, I'M DOING IT!!!! Scared or not, once it's done, it's done and there is no turning back so I will just have to get onboard & deal. LOL I'm pretty sure I'm ready though just having those last minute jitters. Honestly speaking though, I think I'm more afraid of the 2 week pre op diet than I am of the actual surgery. LOL
  2. Thanks for the replies everyone! I'm gonna follow the doc's advice but this is gonna be haaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!! LOL
  3. Can u explain what at stricture is?
  4. I totally understand them wanting to get your mind right but they have got to know and I'm assuming that will be a lot easier with a smaller stomach after surgery. Liquids & Protein shakes should take care of filling your post op stomach. Atleast you shouldn't have the REAL hunger pains that you'll have on the pre-op with a much larger stomach. @Spatters3 - Did your doctor require a pre-op liquid diet or an Atkins type diet?
  5. I should add that I totally plan to follow my dr's orders but was just asking out of curiosity.
  6. I can't offer any advice because I won't be sleeved until 4/23 but I am LOL@ "eyes are hungry".
  7. I could go on and on with my list but I forgot one more thing. I want a pair of those Victoria's Secret sweat pants that have "Pink" on the butt. I want to be able to see "Pink" and it not look like "P I N K" cause my azz is so wide. LMAO
  8. Oh and one more thing. This may seem silly to you but I want to be able to look cute in just a plain ole white tank top and jeans. LOL
  9. I can't wait to participate in picture taking. I avoid the camera like the plague because when I see the pictures, I am mortified. I also can't wait to wear white and not feel/look like the Michelin Man. I mostly can't wait to wake up everyday and my first thought not be about how fat I am and feeling hopeless about changing it.
  10. I don't think the server meant any harm. We must keep in mind that it's probably odd for them to see a person eat so little. Society is used to the way you ate "pre-surgery". I think maybe it was natural for her to think that something may have been wrong with your food and this is why you didn't eat it all. I haven't been sleeved yet but I'm preparing myself mentally for the shocked or puzzled look most people will have when I eat so little. LOL I gotta tell you, when my cousin had Gastric Bypass surger 10 years ago, I was amazed at how little she would eat and become full. I couldn't wrap my head around it as I loaded down and demolished on my huge plate at Thanksgiving. LOL
  11. Ohhhh this post really hits home for me. My surgery date is 4/23 and I so want to start shopping for my cruise which is the end of October so around 6 months out. I wish I could have some idea of where I will be by then so I can start shopping now. It's so hard because it will be near impossible to find swimsuits, shorts, etc. in October. Oh how I wish I had a crystal ball. I would start buying some stuff now in smaller sizes but don't know if it will be too big or too small by October. Such a dilema!!!!
  12. Let me tell you, I don't think anybody plays more games than Kaiser! I won't bore you with the details of the ordeal I went thru with them but I finally prevailed!!!! My journey has been going on for well over a year and a half and I FINALLY, FINALLY just recently received a surgery date. I know they were just waiting for me to give up but it was not gonna happen!!!!! Hang in there. It will be so worth it in the end (I'm hoping - LOL).
  13. Okay, now that I have my date I am totally confused about what I should purchase or have on hand pre-surgery. I've been reading these boards and there are so many different shakes, powders, mixes, pills, etc. that I don't know where to start. I don't want to spend a lot of money on powders or drinks that I'm going to hate during the pre-op diet and post op. How did you make your choice as to what to purchase? It can get expensive trying all these different powders and then if I don't like them, I'm stuck with eating (no pun intended) the cost.
  14. LMAO@Merydia710 - "big ass sandwhich". I bet it was goooooood too! LOL
  15. Oh and one more thing, I've been considering going to see a previously used weight loss doctor to get some diet pills to get me thru the 2 week pre-op liquid diet. Although I haven't actually gone thru with it yet and probably won't. It has definitely entered my mind though.
  16. I know this is terrible but since I received the actual date for my surgery, I've been eating like a hostage!!! I eat everything in site. Ribs, BLTs, steak, fried chicken, chips, cookies, cake, sodas, candy, etc. If I see it, I eat it! I have been treating every day like the last supper!!!! LOL
  17. Hi guys. Now let me start off by saying I know results may vary but I just kind of want to get an idea of where I MAY be 6 mos. post op. My surgery date is 4/23 and I will be going on a cruise 10/20 so almost exactly 6 mos. post op. How much weight did you lose? How many dress sizes did you lose? Eating habits? Anything you want to touch on is fine. Thanks.
  18. This has been such a long road and I'm finally almost at the finish line. I finally got my surgery date today and I am over the moon! 4/23. This means I should be high school skinny by summer. LOL
  19. Ohhhhh, I'm definitely gonna pick a couple of these up and try them. I absolutely hate chocolate, or vanilla flavored milky drinks and have been wondering how I was gonna tolerate those in protein form once I have my sleeve. These seem to be right up my alley!!!!! Thanks for sharing!
  20. I'd be over the moon if I could get down to a size 12!!!!! LOL I can remember being a size 12 and weighing 165 lbs. at age 19. I thought I was fat then. I look back on pictures and I was skinny as a rail but still wore a size 12. Go figure. If I thought I was fat then, you can imagine how I feel now!!! I can't wait to be a size 12 again!!! I personally think you are doing great! You have the rest of your life to get to goal. Just look at where you were this time last year. That should put it all in perspective. I will never complain about a size 12 again if I can get back there after I have this surgery.
  21. I'm just trying to get together a shopping list so I'll be ready to go when I do finally get my surgery date. Please share your lists and please share if there was anything you purchased but found out you didn't need or anything you wished you would have purchased but didn't. Thanks.
  22. I'm just curious. I know everyone's body is different but I'd just like to know iwhat happended to the DD girls out there after surgery. I may be the only person in the world who won't mind at all losing the "girls" after surgery. I'm just a little concerned about how bad they will look. My cousin had Gastric Bypass a few years ago and she was a D cup I believe. Her girls looked horrible when she lost her weight. Just two pieces of skin flapping in the wind. LOL I'll look forward to losing the double Ds but may have to consider a little enhancement afterward. Nothing close to DD though.
