Yay! I broke my almost 3 week stall by losing 5 pounds since Tuesday! AND it's my 1st 20 pounds down since surgery!!! I am so happy :D Just thought I'd share :P

    Congrats!!!

I'm almost six weeks out and have only lost 17. currently on a stall. Hope to join you in the lossing soon. :)

  2. Anakin, Im in a stall also I lost 18lbs right after sx and havn't lost anything in 2 weeks I weigh 300.0 just cant make the scale say 299 its so frustrating. I have a hard time getting in the Water and the Protein. Have no idea how people can drink 84 oz of Water and 70 gms of Protein in one day seems impossible to to me.

    I

I was having the same problem, until I spoke with my kaiser's case carrier. She said that everything liquid accounts for your 64oz of fluids. She said to Have the protein first, once i got all of that in i can include the water and any other liquids you want. This has really saved me.

  3. I only feel itching in the incisions too, but I do feel tingling all over my body , mainly in the extremities. This happens when j go to bed at migt. I haven't been taking any Vitamins and I will be two weeks out on Tuesday's. I KNOW, IM A BAD PATIENT. I read that Vitamin deficiencies can cause tingling sensation. Today I went and bought my B12, Calcium and vit D. Hopefully this will help. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS?

  4. Hey fellow losers! I was sleeved on Monday. I spent two nights in the hospital. I couldn't keep anything down and ran a fever. I am feeling okay and look forward to each day getting even better. I hope this "I'm not hungry" feeling sticks around for quite some time. I am very thirsty and seem to be handling crystal light fruit punch and Water well. I'm ready to fast forward about a month to get past the surgery pain.

Hang in there, tme will fly. I'm on my 11th and I feel almost 100% better.

  5. I'm three full days out from surgery and kind of starting to feel human again. Comparing how I feel today to how I felt yesterday is like night and day! If you're just coming out of your surgery, hang in there. You'll start coming around in no time.

I totally get you Tenshi, I do not deal good with pain and it was a disaster.

Well It is my 4 th day out today had a little bump on the road, but have now refocused on the thing I need for me to successful. I haven't lost any weight now, hope that's normal. I am sipping Water throughout the day and having the Isopure Protein and kefrin yogurt. So far today: two ounces of protein, two of yogurt and four of water. Little steps I guess.

  6. I have an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow, so I should find out when my surgery date is. Hopefully within the next two weeks. So excited! I have been on the Protein Shakes for about three months now. They recommended them at the kaiser options program. they say its good to build up on your Protein reserve. I take the Premier, they have 30 grams of protein and low on sugar. I love the vanilla flavored ones. I am so happy to have joined this support group. It is a great place to find the support I need and to share my feeling if I like. People here understand my excitement and nervousness as opposed to people around me who might not really like to hear about the whole surgery or anything to do with it.

  7. Hello Sleevers, I finished my Kaiser Options program last week (12/19/11). Today (12/28), I received a call from Fountain Valley Hospital. They said that they got the referral and have everything ready to go, that I must register online, which I did and wait for a call to schedule for a class with them. I am so excited! I hope they call me to schedule really soon. I drove over to visit the hospital today, just to see and get a feeling about the place. Of course, its nothing like a kaiser facility. I expected a huge multi level hospital, as I am use to with Kaiser, but I am yet to meet with the surgeon and see how that goes. can any of you share your experience if you have been sleeved by Fountain Valley Hospital.

  8. I am waiting for the Dr.'s approval, everything looks good so I am expecting a call after January the second. I should be having the surgerly before the end of the month, but don't have an exact date yet. I am really excited and nervous about the whole thing...looking into Fountain Valley hospital in california. I still need to choose my surgeon.

  9. I too chose Dr. Ramos-Kelly. I think your comment was good information. I left him a personal email and he called me back today. However, I was unable to answer because I was at work. I will be speaking with him tomorrow before I leave for work. This is very helpful. I won't be able to have my sleeve done until Feb 2012 due to work, law school and saving the final 2k I need for the surgery. I am glad to hear that your conversation went well and that you posted the information about the condition. I would think that one should definitely get a physical before going to have this surgery. Try to find out if there are any issues concerning your health before having this procedure so far away from home. That could save your life. Doctors need to be informed of any preexisting conditions before a surgery is performed. Good Luck to everyone and I pray for everyone's success.

Hello, Im new to this website. I thought, maybe I had joined in too soon, since I wont't have my surgery until around February 2012 as well. I'am glad I'm not the only one. I am having the wls by kaiser permanente, or actually the Dr. they refer me to. Next Monday I am starting the first of 12 weekly classes which are suppose to educate me about the wls. I will not get to see the surgeon until I am done with these classes at the end of December, so Im hoping the surgeon approves the VSG over the gastric bypass. I simply wont do the bypass, i think its too risky for me, for I'm concern about the Vitamin malabsorbtion, since I already tend to have Vitamin deficiencies. I am really exited about this journey, I have read amazing stories of success which keep me motivated and focused on my ultimate goal. I can't wait to have my sleeve and to share my success with everyone here. I too wish every one the best of luck and a successful journey.

  10. Mine will sound cheesy and shallow, but here goes:

I can't wait to take a picture with my son who is now 8 months old. So far, I've only been in a few pictures with him, shown only from the neck up. I've taken hundreds of pictures of him alone though :)

I can't wait to be able to update my Facebook picture with a RECENT picture of me, and not just my baby. LOL

I can't wait to have my SO sweat when other guys are checking me out.

I can't wait to *not* feel like getting my hair and nails done are a waste of time because I'm fat.

I can't wait to not have to worry that I will run into someone who knew me back when I was slim at the grocery store.

I can't wait to work out at the gym without worrying about feeling and looking fat.

Gosh, I can't wait to leave the house more! I've been practically hiding out in my house for the past year!

OMG! This is exactly what I was thinking about. I have three sons, 16 yrs, 12yrs and 17months old. I have tons of pictures with my first and middle child, but I have not dared to take any with the baby. I avoid taking pictures with him becuse I dislike the way I look. Yet, i know that time is passing by and that he is growing up and i am missing out on creating memories with mommy on print.

    AnywayS,

I CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE PICTURES WITH MY KIDS AND HUSBAND
