  1. I am also a slow learner. For me it was Red Velvet cake. I tried it twice PBing both times. Cake and bread just do not go down for me, but I still try now and again. JP
  2. I had forgotten about this thread. I just want to say Hello Indiana! I was banded Aug. 15 and love it. I just hit the 40 lb. mark this week. Keep up the good work hoosiers. JP
  3. Same thing happened to us a few years ago. I came home and the trash can was gone. They left the lid so I sat it out for them, but it laid there for days. What is up with trash can thieves? :bandit The cookies were a great touch. JP
  4. Hi I have not checked in for a long time. Glad to see everyone is doing well. I was banded Aug. 15 I have 1.9 cc's in a 4 cc band. I get my 4th fill Jan. 8, 2008. I hope to loose 2 more pounds by next Tuesday to meet my Christmas goal of 40 lbs. lost. This is much more difficult than I had expected, but well worth it. Good luck to all. JP
  5. I have BC&BS of IL. and was accepted within 4 weeks. My surgery was Aug. 15. I had a psych. eval., thyroid test, letter from my primary care provider, and 3 years of medical records. Good luck. JP
  6. Rosalinda, If I were you, first I would call the Dr. and ask about liquids. My third fill was so tight I threw up every day for over two weeks. I had to stay on liquids for over a week and slowly introduce solids back into my diet. Thank goodness I did not slip, but my point is your stomach may be swollen and irritated. Try protein drinks and chicken broth. Good luck. JP
  7. Sounds like you need a fill and to call your dietician. Keep your chin up. JP
  8. This thread made my day. Merry fu#$ing XMas to all!

OMG it must be the same every place! I work with some real cut throats. They use all of their assets if you know what I mean. It never matters how hard I work I am just the fat girl. I have always hated working with other women. They will steel your man and your job if you are not careful. JP
  10. I wanted to know the same thing. I had my third fill two weeks ago and have vomited almost every day. Two different times it was very violent. Now I can eat soft things, but get that pain in my chest real often and slim a lot of the food I eat. My Dr. had me do a barium swallow, but the worst of the vomiting happend after the test. Good luck in your journey. JP
  11. I had my third fill three weeks ago. Until that day I had no restriction. Now every day is a challange. I never know what I will be able to keep down. Like Boo Boo Kitty said some days I can eat something and can not eat the leftovers the next day. I PB almost every day slimming and chest pain. Many things I will never try to eat again like bread. I am guilty of not chewing and that is a big problem. Good luck. JP
  12. How awful! I plan to fly in a couple of weeks, but I am accustomed to the red tape because I have double knee replacements. I certantly do not want them unzipping my pants or telling everyone else in line my personal business.:omg: I already do not like going to the special area to be checked while my personal belongs are left unattended. Let me know what you find out. JP
  13. Hi everyone. I had my barium swallow Wednesday and my band has not slipped :clap2:. Yesterday for the first time in 8 days I was able to keep down solids. I never want to eat bread again! JP
  14. I love my bugg so much that last week I ordered the watch. It is real helpful at work, because I can't download from my work computer due to administrative privileges. The watch allows me to see how many steps I have taken and how many calories I have burned. JP
  15. Hi Wendell, It was so foreign for me to not be able to eat. The first two fills gave me so little restriction. I now realize I have a band and it is working. I kept solids down for the first time in a week today, and I did not push the limits. The frist sign of feeling full I pushed the plate back. My Dr. wants me to have a barium swallow tomorrow to be safe. Thanks again to everyone for all of the support you have given me. JP
  16. I now have 1.9 cc's in a 4 cc band. I am very tight and can not eat many solid foods. It is strange, because at 1.6 cc's I could eat almost everything. JP
  17. I was banded Aug. 15. I am on my 3rd fill. I have 1.9 cc in a 4 cc band. I am still throwing up solids. They said I need to have a berium swallow and stay on liquids for a week. :faint:Thus far I have lost 34 lbs. I exercise 6 times a week. I hope and prey I did not slip. JP
  18. Thanks everyone one for your words of wisdome. I still can not eat solids and it has been 4 days since my 3rd fill. :sick I can keep soup, pudding and Water down. I have lost 3.5 Lbs. and realize this is not good. I will call the Dr. on Monday to see about getting an unfill. JP
  19. I just had my third fill yesterday, and I tried to eat bread. OMG I got stuck and had to throw up. Seems like I would catch on, I tried to eat bread Monday and threw up 2 times. Yesterday all I could eat was soft foods. Why do I push the limits??? Now I have a sore spot in my stomach and feel kind of yucky:sick. I wanted to eat dressing tomorrow, but don't think I will. Why are we not supposed to eat solids 2 days after a fill? JP
  20. Truslelle, Don't wait! I love my bugg once you put it on it is hard to live without. Also the trial membership is only good for 3 months. I don't know if this is after it is activated or on purchase. JP

  22. My Dr. says I can have anything I want the day before. If it is a late appt. I can even have soft food the morning of, but liquids after the fill and full liquids for 2 days after. JP
  23. I just tracked my bugg and it left Calif. yesterday and is now in IL. I live in Indiana so maybe it will be here on Monday:clap2:. I paid $229.00 with the discount on Oct. 31. Good luck to all getting the discount. JP
  24. All of you got me so excited I bought one! Now my husband wants one. I paid $229.00. I am not sure when it will be here, but I hope by Monday. I know this gadget will help me to exercise more. JP
  25. I am so glad for you. Now the waiting begins:eek:. Hang in there it will all fall into place before you know it. Start trying different protein shakes to find out which ones you like. I like the berry prodi drinks and Chocolate Unjury. There are many kinds, just ask around. Start walking if you can, and stop drink soda. Let us know what happens. JP
