Had the best night, got hit on like 4 times in one night......not sure any were 100% serious, but more attention than I ever got pre-op.
Guess I am starting to get sexy...will embrace that

Another Aussie here. Sleeved 10 months ago by Dr Joseph in the Mater hospital Sydney.
I cant say enough good things about how the surgery has gone for me. Most the surgery was covered under my health fund, including private hospital but still out of pocket around $5k.
I have lost 66kgs in the last 10 months and am happier and healthier than I could have imagined!
Happy to answer any questions anyone has.
Good luck to you all on your journey.

Everyone reacts slightly differently to different food, some work well and others not so much.
For me personally I have trouble with dairy products (other than cheese) and sugary food (good thing too).

    Hi All,
Sleever84 - I liked that for the weight loss, not the dumping. It is pretty normal while you are learning how much your body can handle and what foods sit well.
I wanted to share a video some good friends and workmates of mine did on my journey, the last year and a half. It is long but is the story of my journey.
    Hopefully the link works.

So before my sleeve and weight loss I wasnt dating, while I was single I didnt feel like it was something I deserved.
So I lost the weight and most days I am comfortable in my skin. A few months ago, i decided to officially put myself on the market so to speak.
Have been internet dating, meeting guys etc. I found some nice guys, but no spark, some real d*^ks and quite a few guys that didnt want to know me once I opened up about my weight loss.
Anyway I recently I broke my ankle and have been pretty much limited to my apartment building and started running into this guy in my lift, anyway I was always with someone when I met him so I couldnt act too interested, but we always had a nice chat.
Anyway I did something that I would never have done before the weight loss, I put a letter in all the letter box apartments on his floor (admittedly only 4) and asked him to contact me if he is interested in a coffee..
And to my shock..absolute disbelief, a couple of days later I got a message from him...he replied and asked me out to lunch...which sadly i was at work, but we kept in touch and today we are having lunch!!
This is something that I would not have even contemplated pre-surgery.
Whatever happens I went after what i was intereedted in for the first time...

Soo pretty for a big girl...heard that soo many times.
While the world offers many new "opportunities" now, here are some things that are good about going through this journey single:
    1. You are the only one that can sabotage yourself (ie eat bad things etc)
    2. You can define your own schedule for fitting in exercise and what your post surgery routine will be.
    3. You learn to judge yourself by what you see not by what a partner sees/perception
    4. Your eventual partner will only know the "new" you, in my case the person my eventual partner will see a sexy, confident, a person who loves themselve inside and out, fit and active person....lucky partner lol
    Just my 2c

    Hi Everyone,
An old timer returning for a visit. And thought I would share my story with the newbies, so good to see new people supporting each other. I know this site and the people on it helped me massively in the first few years.
I am now almost 3 years out from my sleeve surgery. I consider myself a success story. I am maintaining my weight, have been through 2 plastic surgeries and am booked for another one (in Oct, the research for this brings me back here for a bit).
My life has changed significantly, I am more confident in myself, in front of people, are having more success in my role. I am now dating a great guy who thinks I am amazing and loves me for who I am. He knows my past, and doesn't see anything wrong with even how I looked before (I do tho.. obviously). My nephews don't even recognise old pictures of me, they will never know the old me, I run around with them. I exercise, not as excessively as I originally did but still regularly.
I eat pretty well, most people don't recognise I had the surgery. Breakfast and lunch is pretty similar to most people, can eat yoghurt and Cereal for breaksfast and a sandwich at lunch (normal size one). I find the main meals are where people will notice the quantity I eat, but rarely. I can eat around 100gms of meat and then some veg and carbs etc.
I have recovered from my first round of plastics (extended Tummy Tuck and arm lift), had a bit of a shocker of a recovery, and experienced one of the associated risks. But am getting ready for a 3rd surgery for a fluer de lis tummy tuck to remove more additional skin. This will finish my journey.
I have put back on some weight, around 5kgs. I am okay with that as a fair bit of that has gone back in my breasts, which don't feel like pancakes as much now and a bit more on my face, which I felt got a bit gaunt. I currently sit between a size 10/12 (pants) and size 12/14 top (mainly cause of my boobs and generally wide shoulders).
Life has its ups and downs but now I feel a bit more comfortable in myself in handling them.
