That didn't look like Al Gore!

I know it's the nature of homebuilding, but things seem to be moving so agonizingly slowly that I desperately want to fall into a coma for the next 5 months and wake up to a finished house. Thankful for the ability to do this but wish God had granted me more patience.

One week later and we still have no voice service and no cable on the 3 new boxes. And we've now had 2 service appointments this week that were both no-shows. Comcast bites.

I really miss DirecTV. Been on the phone with Comcast for 45 minutes and spoken to 4 different customer service reps trying to activate 3 boxes. Good grief!

A mere 4 months after starting the process, our plat is FINALLY at the County Planning Department for approval. By the time we get back from California, we'll be ready to roll!

As if I needed another push to get the heck out of this house, my under the cabinet coffee maker just died. Good thing I have a spare machine out in the camper!

Called the surveyor on Monday to let him know my plat still wan't complete as per the county planning department. As of today, I *still* don't have my plat and his assistant had the nerve to ask me to call the county engineer to get clarification on what map they should refer to to determine a flood zone. Excuse me, but isn't that YOUR JOB? Ugh. If anyone needs a local surveyor, DO NOT USE Elkins Surveying.

I am literally going to strangle the surveyor I had out at the end of February to redraw property lines so we can build a new house. I have to go before the planning commission next Monday and he STILL hasn't submitted the right plat to the planning dept. Grrrrr!

Mother Nature needs to take a Midol. So tired of crazy weather!

Zach has a field trip today that he wants me to chaperone but I want to go see The Avengers while the kids are at school & Dave is home. If I save Zach some popcorn, he'll forgive me, right?

Having a hard time dealing with the end of Katie's elementary school years. Yesterday she reminded me that she will no longer bring home Mother's Day crafts made at school so I'd just have to settle for a store bought card. My babies are growing up way too fast.

At the Y looking like a fashion victim - grey running pants with a lilac stripe, hot pink shirt and a black jacket with yellow piping. Obviously I need to catch up on the laundry!

First Pat Summitt steps down & now d**k Clark dies. This is turning out to be a sad day.

Busy day! Watched Katie run her last Cardinal Chase at school, delivered cookies, picked up the survey for the new house and am working on the 200 cookies that are scheduled to be delivered next week before heading back to school to watch Zach run. I absolutely love where my life is right now!
