  1. Wow I bet you were an only child. You should be thankful for all of the insight and advice that it is shared here. Or maybe you should find another board that will cater to your delusional demands.
  2. IMO I think you should try to stick to your doc and NUT recommendations as far as carbs, lettuce etc. And if you are unable to make your own decision after looking up the nutrition info for McDs then I'm not sure you are intelligent enough to be successful with the sleeve. Honestly not trying to be ugly.

    Best drink ever

Amazon has cherryhead, grapehead and orangehead also! Will be ordering if I can't find them in the stores.

    Best drink ever

And yes it tastes just like the candies!

    Best drink ever

I got them at Big Lots (not sure if there are stores in all areas, I'm in Tennessee). I have noticed that the larger grocery store chains and Walmart have a ton of different powders. I have seen them at Dollar Tree also. If all else fails Amazon or eBay!

    Body stiffness and aches

I would run that by your surgeon and primary doctor. It could be your body adjusting to new metabolism and food intake, but best to check it out thoroughly.

    Best drink ever

I was a hard core Diet Mountain Dew junkie pre-op and have struggled to find something that I really like to drink. strawberry Powerade Zero is good by itself, add a Lemonhead powder = FabUlous! This has honestly filled a big void in my life.

    Can I Slap You Now?

Yes you can slap her. I understand why people are either open about the surgery or private; I have chosen to be open about it. That was a very insensitive remark. I would have said something like "that's great that you were able to lose weight by exercising, but after struggling with my weight for so long I decided that surgery was what I needed to help me do that". If the trainer is still negative, I would ask to see another trainer. I would also ask to speak to the owner of the facility and relay the conversation and explain that you are not asking for anyone's approval, that you just need help with exercise. Best of luck!!

    Diahrrea After Surgery?

Still in the same boat- now 6 weeks out, have no gallbladder. Test showed no C. diff and I cannot correlate it to a particular thing that I eat. Thought it was one of the whey protein shakes but now it has happened even after 3 days with no protein shakes. I'm hoping it will clear up but have been hoping that for 8 weeks now (started before surgery).

    I LOVE TO POOP!

Me too! I seem to get a little backed up and when I finally go, I always weigh myself right after and each time lose 1-5 lbs. I'm 4 1/2 weeks out and get so excited to poo because I know I'm losing! Lol!!!'

    In the early stages...

Great advice, I really appreciate tips from those who have more experience at this. Every day people ask me what I can/can't eat and I reply that I CAN eat anything, some things don't go down well and I choose to eat lean Protein and very little carbs. My sleeve is an awesome tool that makes it easier for me to eat healthy. Good luck to all! I feel like I say this all the time but I LOVE all the info, tips etc that everyone shares.

    What if it doesn't work?

"It" will work almost guaranteed. The thing is that you have to work with it. Make a commitment now to follow the plan- Protein, Water, exercise. The surgery was not fun, the first few weeks of recovery were tough for me. I'll be damned if I went through all this and ruin it by eating junk. This is the only time I have been able to: control portions (really don't have a choice after the sleeve), read every food label for protein and carb content, track all my food (my fitness pal I <3 The motivation to do this and do it right (protein, water, exercise) is very strong this time

A Zombie has eaten my brain..

Sleeved Nov 6 and actually had to go back in the hospital twice after surgery! You would think this something that would be fresh on my mind. I think this just shows how bad habits can become second nature. Thanks for your concern. The coke was a very small sip then another small sip so I was not all that worried. After the pizza today I think at worst my sleeve would have thrown it back out, it truly was a very small piece (less than 1/8 of a small frozen pizza), and even though I ate it pretty fast I did chew it pretty well. I so glad I had the sleeve and have everyone on this site for support, advice, etc.
  14. Sugar free slurpie? Why do I not already know about these? Must find a store that has these.....
  15. So I am recently sleeved at have been eating real food now for about a week and a half. Twice this week I have mindlessly ate/drank like before I was sleeved. It was as if I completely forgot I was sleeved and I was on autopilot. The first thing was on Monday, got a fountain coke while out running errands. First sip- tasted funny, thought the syrup was out. Second sip- still tastes gross and feels funny in my stomach OH YEAH MY TINY LITTLE STOMACH! Today driving home from work grabbed a small slice of leftover thin crust cheese pizza out of my lunchbox and wolfed it down. A few minutes later have a discomfort in my...tiny little stomach. Thank god I did not puke or do enough to make me miserable. It's so funny how these bad habits are ingrained so deeply that I do them automatically.
