FishingNurse replied to aroundhky's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
at 3 months I stalled for almost a month. Stayed the same weight for almost a month!! I thought that I was done losing weight. But no :-) I have gone on to lose 20 more pounds since! -
Hello all!! Its my 5 month update!!! Couldn't be happier!!! I am in a misses 14 from a 24W!! wearing plain large from womens 2x's! I am close to goal I know I can do this! No lose skin- just a little wrinkle action on my abdomen-- not bad at all! Some hair loss-- but I am managing-- had a ton to start. All in all my weight loss has been nearly effortless. I work out lightly 3x to 4x per week to help with the skin. I am eating a min. of 1200-1400 cals a day. I have enough confidence finally that I have an amazing new man in my life! I LOVE MY SLEEVE! heres a face pic comparison! Thanks for all the support and motivation everyone!

5 Month Update !
FishingNurse replied to FishingNurse's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Hi have you thought of adding something like a latte everyday? I have a Venti Iced Vaniila Latte everyday. with 2% milk and non-sugar free vanilla syrup. Theres like 15 grams of protien and 300 cals. Most of the cals are from the milk so no fretting! I swear by these. I could not get enough cals in with out my Startbucks! And if I don't get enough cals (at least 1200) I don't lose. I stall big time :-) -

Wait...shouldn't Calories Per Day For Weight Loss Still Work The Same As Pre-Op?
FishingNurse replied to jewelwithin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I even had my resting metabolic rate tested at lifetime fitness. I work with a RD and a personal trainer regarding this. I was told never to go under 1200 calories or my body will go in to starvation mode and my metabolism will slow way down-- I used to eat 3500-4000 calories a day preop when I was weighing 255 for most my adult life. 1200 is not a lot. No way will I eat 600 calories a day to lose weight faster. I will make goal and Its okay if it takes me another 6 months to lose those 20lbs. -
