6 Months! Before And After
FishingNurse replied to FishingNurse's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good luck!!! you will be so happy! -
Warning: This is GRAPHIC! have only slimed about 6 times post-op. the best way to desribe it is after eating something a.) you don't chew well enough b.) something your sleeve doesn't tolerate c.) if you eat too much also I will sneeze multiples times if I eat a little too much-- and have heard this from other sleevers Sliming is a lubricating response your body has to the food in your sleeve. I have a stuck feel in my chest/ throat. Then i burp and finally I throw up big slimy balls of mucousy slime. No food comes up. sometimes just once and I feel better but on one occasion when I ate beef Jerky at 2 months post op I tottally slimed for like 2 hours :-( feel free to ask more questions. The best way to avoid is to take small bites, chew well, don't over do it and try new textures/ foods slowly.

FishingNurse replied to Queen of Crop's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes I have but I don't have any bald spots or anything, just lost maybe 1/4- 1/2 the volume. It seems to be slowing down now. It started at 3.5 months. As you can see from my pics my hair looks just fine! -

The slimes.... can anyone explain them?
FishingNurse replied to GonnaLoseIt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
for me it is usually the quanity of what I eat, but everyone is different. I only got the slimes once from chicken breast and I eat it all the time and it was no different so I think is just depends on what kind of mood your sleeve is in! I have gotten the slimes 6-7 times total since Aug. so it gets less and less -
you look stunning!!

Only Sleeve In A Gastric Bypass Support Group Meeting ...
FishingNurse replied to Catracks's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have gone to a few support meetings as well and I have found a wide range of people. It seems like most the sleevers are in their 20's like me. There was a poor man with a lap band that he has had for 3 years and he is over 500lbs. I hope he consideres revision to Sleeve!
