Can You Drive Home After Endoscopy?
FishingNurse replied to diverdiva's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I Agree with Rootman, they will not let have the procedure unless a driver stays with you. And youre technically not allowed to drive the rest of the day due to the Versed and Fentanyl you are given. I have had 3 Endoscopys and honestly I feel 100% normal 1 hour after -

Anxious About Buying New Clothes
FishingNurse replied to Lisa821's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lisa I felt the exact same way. Now I can't stop buying SIZE 10 JEANS.... oh and they look cute!!! It goes away. Almost everytime I go shopping I am pleasantly suprised what fits me and how it looks..... Give it a try! I wear scrubs as well (I am a nurse) and I went from 2x to all large and medium now-- and I buy all of them from the clearance racks. They are all cute. There are no cute 2x scrub tops! -
Thanks for posting this!

Anyone Disappointed In The Amount Of Weight Lost? Wish It Was More?
FishingNurse replied to emmas mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel torn. I have pretty much put zero effort into my weightloss. It has been easy. But 170's to some is still "fat" but I am a size 10 and I don't know if I want to have to be so dilligent All the time to get and stay "skinny"..... -
I would have to disagree about the lose skin you look great!

Relax! Sometimes you need a few days of high cal and hat fat foods to mix things up! Its over and you can get back to normal now!! :-) I also had crab legs dipped in butter and steak and garlic mashed potatoes with cream....lol

Restriction Flucuations--Some Days More, Some Days Less
FishingNurse replied to mullet head's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was just thinking about this! How for example on Saturday I could barely get in a half a 6 inch turkey sub from subway (with the top half of the bread removed) But last night for Valentines I was able to eat 4 crab legs and a half a 5oz steak and a few bites of potatoe..... I don't get it!! -
Libido Sudden Increase?
FishingNurse replied to monty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It could be some sort of cross-addiction, if you are really worried it might not be a bad idea to talk to a psychologist. -
Thanks to my sleeve and the confidence it has given me I agreed to be fixed up on a date 3 months ago, and I am no longer single :-)

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow?
FishingNurse replied to jailynn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hair loss sucks. I have cried on more than one occasion in the shower. There are long blonde hairs EVERYWHERE in my house, car, work place, UGH! It will stop and it will grow back. We are getting our bodies back now, and we will get our hair back later. We will be ok!! Hang in there... I am totally with you here. -
