Sound Off On Post Op Appetite
FishingNurse replied to feszyk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I honestly get hungry like before. I eat when I'm hungry. Big difference now is I am full and satisfied on (for example) 1 small slice of pizza not the entire thing! -
I lost about 80lbs since surgery. 93 since my heaviest. :-) my goal was very modest but I'm happy wearing size ten and mediums

FishingNurse replied to Sleeve-A-Licious's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
what a bummer, I am sorry to hear that. :-( My surgeon says that happens to him about once per month. good news is, you can shrink your liver, get sleeved and join us on the losers bench soon. Good luck! -

Loose Skin Post-Op ~ Pre-Op Stretch Marks Correlated With Potential Loose Skin?
FishingNurse replied to blondeej's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had quite a few stretch marks. Our BMIs were probably similar to start. I am 5'4'' and started around 260... and I almost 29. I basically have zero loose skin! If you look closely you can see the stretch marks but they shrank a lot. I can mostly see them on my hips and sides of my breasts. I am pretty happy with my results! I do have to say that I am still pretty "thick" but that helps the skin and it is easier to maintain this weight..... Good luck! -
I am a little odd here. I had a weight loss goal of 170 or less...... Thats almost 100 pounds down from my heaviest. It is not "thin" but I am average and healthy. I wear a medium top and size 10 in pants. That is fantastic to me. I have zero loose skin at this weight. I look normal. I know that I can maintain this weight forever. Couldnt be happier.

I vote sleeve, but it depends on what your expectations are. I don't need to be 120lbs to be happy or healthy.

I noticed when I was losing weight fast I would see this or that sagging, and a few weeks later the skin kind of catches up. Keeping hydrated, getting your protien in, and working helps too.....

FishingNurse replied to ShannonK's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Changing Life...different Game
FishingNurse replied to Cheles's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congrats, keep it up! -
the good part is in 6 months you can have 1 slice of pizza (and feel completely satisfied), and be very close to your goal weight and have a tool to help maintain the loss!!! In a way you can have your pizza and eat it too! The first few months of torture are sooooo worth it

Sex Drive.......found
FishingNurse replied to kcage's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Sleevers in maintenance….. Any tips? This is the oddest place I have ever been. Not trying to lose weight (or knowing I need to try but am not trying) is a very odd place mentally. I am nervous about it. I have given myself the number of 170 pounds… If I go back above that EVER I need to alter what I am doing to get back to the 160’s again. Is that how maintenance works?? I need help from others in maintenance! Tips, stories, anything? Thanks!!!
