  1. Go look at The World According To Eggface (google it). Ricotta bake will help your Italian craving. This is great on mushy stage, but just really good overall. She also is big on pizza and uses low carb tortillas with leftovers and random stuff. I'm not sure when I will feel okay doing that, but I love pizza. Interesting, I tried to eat the toppings off of my fave one the other day and I didn't like it anymore. LOL. I think it's a mindset. If you have to want it bad enough to make it work. You also have to be creative. If that means no pizza for a while because it's a trigger food (and it might be for me, rolls are for sure for me), then avoid it until you can control it.
  2. Not really, I figured I could have tried to do stuff, but I eat so little and exercise so much that I just kept trucking. I shall report tomorrow if that damn scale moved again.
  3. I'm on Day 20 of a stall. The scale finally moved ONE pound this morning. I'm not celebrating yet. The son of a monkey's butt better keep moving. It happens. It sucks. We just have to keep on keepin' on.
  4. Ah... weird. YMCA (not sure if this around you) is $27 per month http://www.dcymca.org/membership.html Looks like there's an Anytime near you too, those are usually $35, I think. If nothing else, Anytime and those folks usually offer a 7 day pass, you can at least try it out and see if it will be worth it to you. Of course, you could be way more disciplined than I am. LOL.
  5. I have a few pieces of equipment in my home. I have weights too. I still go to the gym because it's a mental thing for me. I'm too distracted at home. Maybe when one of the kids moves out I'll make their room into a gym LOL 24 Hour Fitness is around $30. Cheap, considering the equipment that I would have to buy due to weight limits is around $500-$1000 each.
  6. Thanks, I keep a pretty low profile and most of my FB friends don't know so I think I'd like to keep it that way for now. Thanks though!
  7. I should be there next week. Look forward to meeting you!
  8. Track everything you eat/drink (myfitnesspal.com is great). But what you are in (and I have been for 19 days now) is the 3 week stall. It starts around 3 weeks and lasts as long as it lasts. I'm told the weight will move again. Hopefully soon. LOL
  9. You can also do an egg just in the microwave. Spray a little glass bowl, scramble an egg in it, add some cheese or whatever and nuke it for 30-60 seconds. It works in my microwave...
  10. Do you have a plan from your doctor? You might want to ask the nutritionist... my plan calls for NO beef and NO shellfish until 5 months.
  11. I'm on day 18 of the "stall"... it's normal. It's annoying. Very annoying. But I just keep telling myself it's normal. There's physically no way I can NOT lose weight on 800 calories per day. LOL. Right? Right?? RIGHT???
  12. Looks like Amazon has matched it, for the most part too...
  13. Yeah, he's pretty awesome (and it's really good stuff!)
  14. You should probably see your regular doctor about it. If you have swelling much more in one leg than the other, that could be a sign of a blood clot, I think. I am trying to remember... For me, my legs swell when I'm sitting in my chair for too long, esp if it's too hot out. What helps is making sure I'm laying down (in bed, recliners don't count) at least 8 hours per night. Then I don't have the problems. Also, drink lots of Water, it helps flushes everything out of your body (no idea if it helps with edema, but hey, always a good idea!)
  15. Yes, it has to do with the type of policy your employer has.

  17. It's very mushy, so I had it two weeks ago when I went to full liquids and purees. It doesn't have any structure or anything, so it's a puree in my mind
  18. You may have posted this before, but can you leave your husband with the kids and go by yourself? Lots of people do and seem to get along just fine...
  19. I'm either allergic or slightly intolerant of all of them. Fun for me! Plus they make me want to ralph. I'm almost a month out and have had to push it a bit, but I've been getting all of my Protein in from food the past few days. It usually looks like this: B (20) - 7oz fage greek yogurt with strawberry sauce (Walden Farms) mixed in, this takes a while to get down some days! S (5) - Scrambled/pureed egg with salsa L (15) - 2-3 oz tuna salad S (6) - 1/4 cup cottage cheese D (25) - 3oz chicken breast with whatever to puree it with, I usually use mayo and pickle juice I also have some "Just The Cheese" Snacks (google it) that are pretty good and have 5 protein for a little bag. Laughing Cow cheeses have 2 in a little wedge and are mighty tasty! If I'm still short, I'll have a little tuna or something after dinner. ** Note: I'm still on purees
  20. I always buy two seats and I always fly Southwest. Southwest will refund you the cost of the 2nd seat after your flight if it's not oversold. I've never had one not refunded. I figure it like this. The airline sells a certain amount of space for $X. I use up more than that space, so I pay for two. It just makes the flight more comfortable for myself and anyone sitting next to me. If I can't afford a second seat, I don't fly. But I just put it on a credit card and they credit it back within a few days of me calling them. Just my opinion. I travel several times per year for business.
  21. My chiro has been doing cold laser treatments on them. I dunno if it'll help or not... stay tuned
  22. I'm on purees right now. I'm doing some canned Soups, blend them up and heat up for lunch or whatever. I also make "big" batches of tuna/chicken/egg salad and keep in the fridge so I can just grab it, individual cottage cheese, individual greek yogurt. Going out is great because they'll puree up my Soup for me or I can order salmon and chew it REALLY good and swallow with a bit of ranch dressing and then bring home for 3 more meals. LOL. Hubby made me some of eggface's ricotta bake and put them into individual ramekins and I ate one and had 3 more for later, just zap them in the microwave. I'm all about grabbing and going.
  23. Yeah, I'm allergic to soy, so no tofu. I'm doing all of those things. I did manage to hit 70 today and only have 1 Protein shake, but I seriously felt like I was eating all the time. LOL. I think the swelling has gone down a bit overnight or something because I was able to get about 1/2 more than I usually can in. I know, it's not a race... I had soup today and thinned out chicken salad and refried Beans. Plus a couple of Snacks (yes, cheese! laughing cow FTW!)
