  1. they are right, it is never too late. I am 1 yr out and have lost 100 pounds.. I have not lost anything in 3-4 months.... I still have 20 pounds to get to goal but I got in a rut of being complacent. I have started exercising more and changing habits again... I have a hard road ahead of me and I know I took advantage of all those pounds that melted so easily...

we both can do it, we just need to g et the will power back

  2. AT about 3 months My surgeons aid he didnt limit anything I ate... If It didnt feel good then Id know..lol

Im 5 months out and steak is the one thing that feels the BEST.... Ive been eating it for awhile not.. when my family goes to a buffet ( 2 times or so amonth) I just get a steak, mandarin oranges and cottage cheese. My fav

  3. Well i do drink soda ( mainly diet). I cant drink it with food because when I burp the food comes with it.. Ill sip one .. usually cant finish it like I used too.. Still have lots a restriction.. and losing well. I dont get addicited to things though so if its a gateway "drug" then I would not suggest it..

  4. I just hit 5 months. YOU just gotta do it. I remember feeling depressed sometimes thinking im never going to eat normal foods again... BUt after 2 months I was eating NORMAL food. My DR had a different plan then others though. At about 6-8 weeks he didn't really limit me at all. He just said if it doesn't feel good to eat it then don't...lol HE said I will know my own body. I LOVED that cause looking at the stupid lists made me sad and now I had the ability to eat what I want

( which isn't good if you don't have self control eating bad things).... BUT it gets better you just have to deal with it and realize that this too shall pass.. :-)

  5. Awesome girl! You can do it! Whats your plans for exercising? I have been through huge numerous stalls lately then I lose a ton fast and then stall out...lol its a cycle for me..lol

Today my hubby brought home chicken. I ate 2 bites of the mashed potatoes, one bit of chicken, and im working on a Water bottle. Thats all i have ate today and since it was fattening i will need to watch what I eat the rest of the day. I have a small steak ill eat for dinner and thats probably it.. Ive been staying full alot longer if I eat straight meat... luckily I lOVE MEAT!! lol

  6. You look amazing. Congrats on such an awesome transformation. I have no doubt you will hit your goal.

    Thank You for that!! :-)

Wow Megan, congratulations :) You are doing amazing!!! I am in San Antonio too,we should meet sometime, send me a pm if anything =)

    You look beautiful!!

YES we should, and I just read on yur profile that you are a freelance photographer with an interest in graphic design... OMG not only are you a sleeve sister but we share the same passion. I am a photographer too and dabble in graphic design..lol maybe you can teach me a thing or two..lol

  7. Hi, All Its been 3 months now and the time is zooming by. I have been eating normal food no for sometime. Basically I do not eat bread products as it fills me up tooo fast and leaves me feeling BLAH.. I will have an slice of pizza somtimes but do not eat the crust.

meat is my best friend. It feels the best going down ( especially beef, like steak )... If I had a choice on what to eat every meal I would grab the meat first!!!...

I can eat fresh veggies and stuff but if it doesnt chew down to a mushy consistancy then i dont eat very much of it at all. I do have an occasional soda once in awhile but never with food because the bubbles come out to burp but food gets caught above it and I almost throw up everytime i try to burp...lol ewwww.

Anyhoo, I have lost 65 pounds so far and feeling pretty good! I have days were i still feel FAT but its a mind thing and I know I have a long ways to go but I always remind myself where i came from as well.

  8. @Megannadine- Too cool! I put that on my signature hoping to find another BMI of Texas sleeve sister or brother. Do you go to the support groups? I do and I would love to meet you there next time! We can all use all the support we can get. Nice to meet you! You are doing fabulous!

HI, No i dont go to the support groups although I should. I have 3 boys in football right now so its been hectic to say the least..lol When are the support groups? Thank you and you are doing great yourself!

  9. As many of you know, my weight lately has been hanging around the same number. I broke into the 160's about 5 weeks ago and stayed at 169 for three weeks, then dropped to 166.5 and have been there for two. It just seems like this stall lasted longer and was immediately followed by another stall. I was feeling a little down yesterday when I realized it was time to measure. I measure every two weeks. Lo and Behold I am down 2 inches in the hips and one in the butt and also a half in my thighs! IN TWO WEEKS! No weight change either. Baffleing. I even measured twice. How can this be? I dont know but I will take it. I guess all that zumba and walking with a weighted vest is paying off. I will be smiling all the way to gym tonite!

My big celebration for today is that I am wearing a size 10 jeans for the first time in 22 years or so. I havent been this small since before I got pregnant with my first child at the age of 22. WOW. Tears of joy. I may not be able to wear all size 10 jeans but by golly I am wearing these! They dont have a lot of spandex either. Very little in fact. I also bought a size 10 blazer and it fits well in the sleeves and all! OMG! I was a size 20 when I started this so I guess I am half my size! I am almost in single digits!!!!! WHAT???? Somebody help me to comprehend this! I am doing this! I love my sleeve!

I just realized we were sleeved by the same DR.'S!!! I was sleeved by Dr. Seger but Dr. Duperior wasnt far behind..lol YEah for a sister sleever!!! And congrats on the milestone I bet it feels great!!

  10. 2 months out- how are you feeling, what has been your weight loss and what are you eating?

I just hit 2 months. I lost 38 pounds the first month and 14 my 2nd month.

I feel great no hair loss yet but I did go through a pretty long stall like 2-3 weeks. nothing bad.

I eat everything really. im not on a special diet anymore I eat what everyone else eats but just a bite of two if that. I dont allow my self to eat bread or tortillas ( unless its in chip form) or Pasta.. these items just dont allow me to enjoy a meal at all. Also I find that i dont eat anything until 1 or 2 pm now a days. Im just not hungry until then although I should try...

    how about you?
