    Best post all day...maybe all week! I'm so glad you got to truly enjoy the effects of your weightloss and enjoy a beautiful day with that precious little girl.
  2. Can you tell me how you're losing 100lbs in 4 months? I know that's on the high end, but I want to help in any way I can. I'm so scared I'll be one of those who doesn't eat pizza and potato salad and still take 6 months to lose 40lbs.

    I used to get my cacique bras at The Limited, but I'm sure they carry them elsewhere. Just don't shop in plus size stores for htem if you need a smaller size. I got my 36C's at The Limited, of course that was years ago.... <shrug> I guess I'm on the opposite side of the VS bench. I LOVE their bras, but being a DDD means I am limited. My VS bras fit better than any others and are still sexy. I usually only have the choice off black, white or beige and my size must not be common because I can hardly ever find it. I'm a 38/40DDD. In fact, there is not ONE store in this area that sells my size. I have to buy them online. Ridiculous.

    magic bullet anyone?

    I've had one for over 5 years and have used it for so many things. I made my own baby food with it and know I'll be using it for me after surgery. I've already used it for a few shakes I was taste testing. worth it
  5. Exercise is important, but our bodies were not meant to work hard on only 350 calories. If you're 3 weeks out and only consuming 350 calories, maybe walking 3 miles isn't such a good idea. I'm not a doctor, but most seem to suggest little exercise for the first 6 weeks. You're still healing, and while walking is good to promote healing and lessen the risk of blood clots, I think they meant a little bit here and there, not 3 miles. If you get the shakes, do a shot of juice to help raise your blood sugar. If you can, add a bit of Protein so your body can metabolize it better and not give you an insulin spike then rapid decline. gl, it will get better.
  6. I have been doing sooooo good with my own pre op diet. I've lost 10lbs in the last 2 weeks after a stall, 19lbs altogether, and I haven't even started the liquid diet yet. I've been doing high Protein, low carb and staying under 1200 calories, some days under 800 calories. Oops. I caved. It was a long day. I planned on having shrimp for dinner but just didnt feel like making myself something different so I ate what the kids ate and had honey bbq chicken tenders. I ate 4 of them!!!!!!!!!!! <insert oink noise> Did I totally just sabotage ketosis? How long will it take me to get back in? I probably ended the day with about 80gm of carbs when I've been typically been under 30gm. I'm still around only 1200 calories, but I failed! Ugh. I'm so stupid. And it wasn't even like a food craving. I was just hungry and tired - though I could have just eaten 2 and been done. Anyone know anything about ketosis?
  7. Thanks for the support. I owned the treadmill today and will do weights later, so I at least feel like I owned up to my fall. I'm also at only 8gm of carbs at 3pm, so back on the saddle I go. Thanks again. I feel better and am back to being positive.

Well, it wasn't 4 fast food type tenders, it was tyson style tenders and probably more to the tune of 8 ounces of chicken that was battered and then coated in honey bbq. they were 200 calories a piece. Ugh. I ended the day at 1700 calories, so not ridiculous but double what I have been consuming. The funny part is that I got up whit morning expecting a gain and i had lost 2lbs!!!!! I will never understand. Only carbs so far today were the tiny amount in the milk I added to my coffee.
  10. ...and thh worst part is.....that I am typing this as I wash it down with a beer. Make that 90gm carbs for the day. Blah.

    Not in the mood -warning TMI

    Very carefully. What worked for me was to just lay it out and let it go. It gave him time to ponder and think and research. In the end, he brought up issues at his regular Dr. appt. without my knowledge that he was going to. Things have been much better and we now are back to "cuddling" 4 times +/- per week. Thank gawd. He's dead when I get hawt and back to being able to look good in sexy clothes. Maybe off topic......but his libido seemed to come back full force when someone else showed much interest in me too. I'm not sure if there's a correlation.

    Oh Dear, Oh My

    Glad you're ok now. Real fruit juice is a very quick and suggested way to bring blood sugar back up. You can get 4oz juice boxes that dont have to be refrigerated and would be perfect to keep in the car, at the office and at home for such events. Also, you may consider tweaking your diet as a pp suggested. You had 2 meals in a row of nothing but carbs. That will cause an insulin spike, and with noting else to counteract the spike, your blood sugar will drop....as well as be counter productive in your weight loss efforts. Protein first. There are reasons the doctors push this. You just experienced one of them.

    I feel fat today

    Glad it's a new day. I'm kind of late to offer anything, but nothing beats a good facial or pedicure to make me feel "pretty" and help me get out of my funk.

    3 month 3 week update

    Great job! How lucky of you to have such a supportive work environment.

Another day this week was: B- coffee with lf milk L- tuna salad with onions and light miracle whip s1- beef Jerky s2- lf string cheese ...missed dinner because we were busy and had to make poker night Because i had so few carbs and calories for the day I got to have... 4- michelob light ultra beers For the day= 763 calories, 11gm fat, 26gm carbs (even with drinking 4 beers) and 54gm Protein.

I'm still pre-op but here's mine for today: B- 3 scrambled eggs, coffee with lf milk L- 8 ounces of shrimp s- 1/2 C. low fat cottage cheese D- large salad with 3 ounces grilled chicken breast This is about 893 calories, 22gm of carbs, 31gm fat, 125gm Protein, and I am stuffed. I almost couldn't eat all the salad at dinner, though I'd kill for a glass of wine.

    Triathalons? Hmmm, maybe you're just an overachiever and own the saying "Go big or go home" That could pertain to exercise or the buffet.

    CAULIFLOWER PIZZA

    I can see so many possibilities of tweaking it to make it have more Protein easily. White pizza - combine greek yogurt or ricotta with garlic, cheese and an egg and spread it over the crust. Add chicken and broccoli as toppings....for example. Or just make it a meatza pizza. I'm sooo gonna experiment with this recipe.

    Losing weight

    I'm not sure I agree. I'd be willing to guess that many of us are expert dieters that yoyo often. I'm trying everything I can to lose weight before surgery and exercising as often as I can. I'm hoping the exercise will help me post op with mobility and healing. Plus, it's become somewhat of a habi,t now that I hope carries over easily that way I won't have the extra lifestyle change to suddenly add on top of my new eating habits. Also, the more I lose now and less I weigh on DOS, the more quickly I can get to goal or at least a reasonable weight. It cannot happen fast enough as far as I'm concerned. My dr doesn't require it, I just want to be the healthiest I can be before I go under.
