  2. Sadly, 97% of Facebook users won't repost this. When Jesus died on the cross, He was thinking of you. If you are the 3% who cares, repost and like this. Repost if you love God. He already saw you read it♥

  3. Just wanted to say thank you for dinner Sissy. You make a ROCKIN Italian Sausage soup! Love ya Diane McBride!

    Fish

Salmon is a little heavier as far as fish goes but it settles fine with me at 3 1/2 months out. If you are just starting soft foods you might want to try a lighter fish like Tilapia or Cod. I love them all! : )

    November 26th Check In :)

Hi everyone! I am down 35 pounds since surgery and 80 pounds all together. I need to lose about 30 more to reach my goal of 130. I weighed in this morning at 161.4. I am so excited to be able to wear smaller clothes and feel good in them. This journey is so amazing, I am floating on a cloud. I am averaging about 10 lbs a month and that is just perfect for me. I feel healthy and strong! Well, take care everyone and God Bless! Hugs, Shell

    Gastric Sleeve Swelling

Im a little surprised they have moved you to soft foods already. I was on full liquids for the first two weeks and then slowly moved to puree/mushy and then two weeks after that I tried some soft foods such as moist fish and mashed potatoes. If you feel you need to move things a little slower then wait another week to try these foods again. Good luck and happy journey.
  12. Awesome, you look absolutely beautiful! I'm right there with ya sweetie, it feels so amazing to go shopping and find clothes that make you feel pretty/sexy and "dare I say, thin"? To actually seek out the camera at family gatherings instead of hiding until all the picture taking is over. What a blessing we have been given! God bless you! Keep up the good work and enjoy each amazing day of your transformation.

Does Crystal Light Count As Water Intake?

Absolutely! No calories and no sugar - drink as much as you want and count it all. I find that since I was sleeved (August 29), regular water just tastes funny to me so I use crystal light, Mio, benefiber flavored to go packets. Anything to help give the water some flavor. : )

    Help from the Ladies

Geeze, don't worry about cliche! A surprise carriage ride would knock my socks (and other things) off. Most women are really easy to please. It is the fact that you are putting this much thought and effort into surprising her. I wish my hubby could find his romantic brain again. He lost it about 10 months after we met and got comfortable in our relationship. Good luck and a big "Kudos" to you! : )
  15. I am talking to the big guy right now. He says he's got ya all wrapped up in his loving arms so no need to worry! Try to relax and enjoy your time with hubby. We will all be thinking about you tomorrow. Get back to us as soon as possible, OK. God Bless you!

    technical problems w/this site?

I have no answers for you (sorry), but I thought I would take the opportunity to vent my frustrations as well. Not only can we not read the scrambled mess at the bottom of the more lengthy posts, but we can not reply to them either. :banghead:

    Which was the hardest

Hi, I am 3 months out and I have done really well with all the changes that you go through on this journey. At least I thought I was doing really well until I was healed enough to start looking toward the munchy foods. Snack mixes and bad carbs haunt me every day now and I am trying so hard to "just say NO". The surgery is great for not overeating at a meal, but in between is a whole different story. Don't let anyone tell you this is the easy way out! It takes strength and will power! Old habits die very hard! God Bless!

2 weeks out- missing my Tabasco!

My Nutritionalist said spicy is definitely OK! Go for it! Anything to make the food tase better. : )
  19. Thank you sweetie. Stay strong and have faith that you made the right decision for you. I know where my friend is now and I know that she is at peace in God's loving armes. May God bless us all as we venture in to this wonderful journey we have chosen for ourselves! <3
  20. Unfortunately this sort of thing can happen. I had a friend who I grew up with (35 plus years) who had RNY about 6 years ago. She had been heavy all her life and the surgery brought so many changes to her way of living. She conceived two beautiful baby girls after her surgery to add to the one she had adopted, but sadly her marriage fell apart, Her husband cheated and left. Ultimately, her self esteem and emotional problems took over and she fell in with a bad influence (man). She lost physical custody of her daughters and her depression took over her life. She had health insurance and had received Psychological help during this time but it wasn't enough. In the spring of last year she took her life and we were all devastated. While this whole story is extremely sad and I miss my friend so very much, I firmly believe that her final decision came from her personal devastations and depression. The surgery would have added many years to her life if the Psychological issues hadn't taken over. This thing could happen to anyone, WLS or not. I guess this just enforces the absolute need to seek the truth from ourselves and should encourage us to really search our souls before we make such a life altering decision. I had my sleeve surgery on August 29th and I am extremely happy. My friend's story definitely weighed heavy on me as I researched and made my final choice to change my life. I communicated openly and thoroughly with my husband and my family. I did experience a few small waves of slight depression in the first few weeks but that has passed and I am doing great now. I haven't shared this story before because it is so personal but I think everyone who is considering WLS of any kind should be full aware that this is a huge change for most and every possible outcome should be taken seriously. My love to all! God Bless!
  21. Damn, don't you look totally adorable! Way to work that sleeve girl! Keep going : )

I remember when I discovered my shin bones and my rib cage (that one still gets me). Crazy how the simplest things become so very important and special. : )

    Trying to please everyone

Take a deep breath sweetie, you are experiencing the anxiety we all go through as the big day gets closer. Go ahead and go out, have some fun, try to relax, and have a drink or two (don't get sloshed) LOL. You will be fine, just don't over-do. We are all here for you so try and relax a little. It will all work out and remember, GOD LOVES YOU! Hugs, Shell
