  1. Get ready for a wild roller coaster ride! There will be moments of sheer (sexual) bliss and moments of sheer emotional craziness. When we lose weight the estrogen or testosterone that is stored in our fat is released into our bodies and can cause some wild behavior. My sex drive went through the roof and my hubby was a little overwhelmed at first, but we have had fun with this new found energy and confidence. I am 6+ months out from surgery and have lost a total of about 108 lbs (45 before surgery). My life has changed drastically and I am estatic. Congratualtions on you life changing choice! God Bless! ((HUGS)) Shell
  2. OK, I haven't posted many of my own forums but I am 3 pound from my goal and I wanted to share my journey with my VST family. I started my journey at 241 lbs and lost 45 before surgery weighing 196 when I had my sleeve surgery (August 29, 2011). I am at 133 now, once I hit 130 I will move in to maintenance mode as my husband has made it very clear that I don't need to lose anymore. LOL He has been so great through this crazy roller coaster ride! My emotions have been so wacky through this whole thing, there have been times that I thought I was going crazy, trying to figure out just what the hell I was crying about or will I ever stop feeling sorry for myself. I am happy to say that the hormone/crazy emotions have settled down now and I am feeling almost normal again. I am thrilled with my weight loss and I have so much energy that I don't even look at my couch anymore (I just can't sit there and do nothing). I would rather crank up the music and get on my treadmill or clean the house (who would have ever imagined). Any way, I just want everyone to stay strong and keep fighting for a healthier life. We all deserve the best! Hugs to all and God Bless! Love, Shell -----Of course, the pics are out of order cuz I couldn't figure this thing out! LOL

We were told we could partake as soon as we felt able and ready. That being said, we were warned to refrain from any rough housing (take it easy for a while) LOL

    Question?

I have taken advil PM. It settled just fine and gave me a couple nights of blissfull sleep. I am six months out though so I'm not sure if it would be an option at five weeks out. Hope that helps ((Hugs)) Shell

  16. R.I.P To the 31 U.S. Troops who were killed in a Helicopter crash in Afghanistan today. I bet no one cares enough to re-post for Respect. This is a real reason for flags at half staff! Repost if you have a heart..♥

  18. On this day of your life, Shelly, we believe God wants you to know ... that you have to pass through a dark night of the soul. Everyone does, including you. A time comes when what you have always believed is true melts away underneath you. When you cast in doubt even the most obvious, the most simple. When it seems that dark night is all around, and you are all alone. Take heart, this journey through abyss is the final barrier before your emergence into the heavenly light of a new synthesis...

  19. Jury Duty tomorrow. Ugh! : (

  20. On this day of your life, Shelly, we believe God wants you to know ... that you've been skipping out on God's most important gift to man - love. Love is the blood of the soul. God wants all beings to have healthy and strong souls, so God created a simple law to nourish the soul: the more you give love, the more you receive love. Remember all the beings you love - people, animals - that you haven't thought of lately. Do not wait anymore, reconnect with them today and express your love.

  22. I just had to share this one! So, I was being bratty last night and teasing my hubby, pushing and poking him and daring him to do something about it. The next thing I know I am hanging upside down over his shoulder and he runs in to the front room and I'm laughing and yelling, "you just think your cool cuz you can throw your wife around now"! My 23 y/o son who was visiting said, "that's what you get for being so skinny". Me? Skinny? Really? I am having so much fun with the new me and apparently hubby is enjoying the ride as well! I just had to share with my VST family! Love you all! Shell
