  1. Hi danielle; It is normal to be hungry still and as Autumn Lily said, strain soup. You are in a learning period and need to have liquids so stomach can heal. There are many VSG diets which vary by surgeon. Did your give you a plan? If not, I can point you to a few on internet you can download or I can forward to your email. Best wishes!

  2. The egg drop soup needs to be strained and only have the broth. The noodles will not be good for you or your tummy. You are probably on the clear fluids or full fluids and you can tell if you can see through them they are clear and if you can not see through them (milk) they are full liquid. Any solid (even noodles) should be avoided at this point in time.

    Drum Roll PLEASE

Congratulations' I'm so proud to hear that! Can you tell me when you had the surgery and your post op diet choices. I know that A lot, but I too was 271 pds and had the surgery on the 18th of April and need some guidance. I know that my two week out diet can consist of egg drop Soup but can I have the noodles that they give you on the side. My doctor tries to be really stern and never answers you questions completely. I had asked him on my visit when I would be introduced to mushy foods and he began stating that the next time I see him he will go over what my diet will consist of. I so anxious to lose the weight and also eat it's frustrating me. ANYONE PLEASE HELP..... I think I've placed this on another forum because this is a concern for me and I would love to be a little more knowledgeable. Thanks Daniellelavon

    pre op

For me I'm a little confused. I had my surgery on the 18th of April. I haven't been able to drink all of my Protein on Water on a daily. I wake up with terrible hunger pangs and my doctors doesn't want me to have anything else but liquids until the 13th of May. Wondering if anyone else have gone thru this request ? He did inform me that I can have some egg drop Soup this monday coming, but I hungry and need something to eat. This doctor had placed me on this diet 2 weeks prior to surgery so I'm being tortured. Please someone help me out and let me know if there doctor has requested such a harsh diet regimen thereafter? Daniellelavon!!
