Cleaned my closet over the weekend to get ready for Fall. Well, now I either have to go shopping--(which I hate unless it's for fishing tackle) or I have to remain in my PJs for the winter. None, and I do mean none, of my winter clothes fit to where I would wear them outside of the house. I guess this is a NSV, but it's upsetting. I really have some beautiful Fall and Winter clothes from when I used "high end" entertain with John and his diamond jewelers' circle. How times are "achanging". Moving on isn't always all smiles and sunshine, I guess, but moving on is what I am determined to do.

what type of protein brand do you recommend? I'm currently taking Premier Protein and I want more options.

I'm not a helicopter mom, tiger mom, free-range mom, soccer mom, crunchy mom, or attachment mom. I'm just a regular mom trying not to raise a-holes.

So far I'm not a fan of Quest bars. Mint chocolate was the worst I've ever experienced and I love mint chocolate. Maybe I should consider not eating them this early in the game. I thought I could just start incorporating them once or twice a week into my meal plan as a snack.

Had my 3 month post op appointment this morning. New nutritionist since mine went to another hospital and doesn't work with my surgeon anymore. Down 47.5lbs since surgery. Nutritionist was not impressed, said that was at the very low end of how much I should have lost by now. Yet she couldn't come up with anything I should change to increase it. Surgeon, however, was pleased with my progress to date. Thinking I need to find another nutritionist but I'd like to stay within my surgeon's practice.

I'm not seeing the Nut that is associated with the area's bariatric program. I saw her just once. She told me that she had never had a client who was five years out and "we would just have to wing it". Well, NO THANK YOU. I don't have the patience to be anyone's guinea pig. I found a Reg. Dietician who has a background in bariatrics. She has been most helpful to me. Maybe looking around---asking for a local Reg. Dietician who is bariatric friendly. Just a thought...

I don't know that I necessarily thought I was "big boned" or whatever - but it has been a bit of a surprise as the weight comes off to feel how delicate my frame really is underneath all that fluff. feeling pretty girly these days. :-)

chinS, my friend---I'm trying to keep my "chins" up. My fishing waders still fit, so I can always go to Walmart...! Most of the time, I can---other times--not so much. This was just a result of a mixed bag---happy over going down 8 dress sizes and not being able to let go of "the memories". I have one gown that John had real diamonds and pearls sewn onto the neckline and sleeves. THAT gown is going nowhere. I will wear it one last time----when the time is right.

Good idea about the shopping at Cabela's. --one of my favorites.
It's the getting rid of the beautiful Fall and Winter stuff and all of the memories I feel whenever I used to see them hanging in my closet. That's the sad part. I can remember every reception, every Jewelers' Ball, every "Diamond Picnic in Central Park", all of the Jewelry shows in W. Palm Beach, Tampa and Aspen. Those lovely things are all I have left...
Hell with it---I'm keeping the clothes until it's not so painful to let go. Maybe it's not the right thing to do, but right now, I can do no other.
However--------------------I'm going to need a bigger closest...

I AM FREAKING OUT. I just got home from a loooong day of class (12 hours) and I weighed out of curiosity... and I am UNDER 200! I'm glad no one was here with me to see me breaking down and sobbing like a toddler but my goodness! I can't believe I'm here, and it actually happened! Please celebrate this moment with me! http://imgur.com/a/4RcuL

They reloaded the snack machine at my office, with THREE ROWS of jumbo honey buns. Am *SO* grateful for my sleeve and the loss of the cravings for that stuff. Part of my brain still responds, but the other part doesn't think that sounds as good as my key lime greek yogurt. LOL

Down 40 pounds since July 22nd. I'm happier, healthier, sex is better, I no longer snore, my clothes are falling off me... best decision ever. Now to crack down on my water intake because I sucked this weekend.
