  1. I did. I had my surgery in Tijuana, Mexico on the 27th of April. My trip was great! It was smooth sailing's.. everything went as planned and the language barrier was no problem for me either. I was worried about that, but it seems like enough of the hospital staff understood and spoke English, but a few.

I didn't even bother with the insurance company this time. I did back in 2000 and was denied and it was so heart breaking for me so I cut them out the process completely. I figured my life, my rules, my way.. I'm not going to let some insurance company dictate my happiness and needs. Especially when I'm working on a healthier me.. I wanted no road blocks and supervised diets before a "maybe" approval.

Do your research as to which doctor is best for you and go for it.. No looking back.. At least that's how I feel.. Pre-op and Post-op I've lost a total of 42lbs in a month and I couldn't be happier right now...

  2. Vsg, I hope your right. Maybe my expectations are too high, but I feel as though the weight should be coming off consistently this early in the game. This is really messing up my mood lol I was prepared for a lot of things involving this surgery but losing only to gain was not one of them. I need to put my game face back on and take a deep breath... Woooo sahhhhhh

  3. Jimmy I'm trying not too, but I can feel it in my body...the weight difference that is.... I know it may sound crazy, but I can honestly feel when I've gained or lost that pound.. so therefore I hop on the scale to check...

In my mind.. I always say to myself If I had been weight/scale conscious in the beginning I never would have gotten up to 300+ lbs.. I don't want to fail my sleeve and myself, ya know? So I check.

But you're right.. I have to step away from the scale and keep doing what I'm doing and maybe let go of the luncheon meat.. I think the sodium may be causing me to hold Water.. but it's approved on my food list... ((((sighs)))) what to do, what to do??

  4. Okay guys the 27th will be 1month post-op for me. I lost 16lbs pre-op and 21lbs post-op. I know those are some great numbers, but for the past week and a half I've been losing a pound only to regain it.. What gives!? I don't understand this. I walk maybe 3 miles a week and have stayed with in my meal plan.

I've recently started adding luncheon meats to my diet and I'm wondering could the sodium be causing this teeter totter effect??? Yes, I've heard of stalls, but this early out?

Guy's I need help, suggestions, clues.. anything PLEASE.

  5. I'm 3wks out also and I eat cottage cheese, creamy Soups, chili, puddings, Jello, veggie patties, but I chew them to death... and sometimes chicken.. but I find that the chicken is too heavy for me.. even when chewed a lot and I bring it right back up... Actually I bring a lot of things back up, because I don't always realize when I'm full until it's too late.. I think I'll start measuring my food instead of "eyeing it"

  6. It's only been 17dys since my surgery and I'm so in love with my sleeve already!

I started at 346lbs and for the pre-op diet I got down to 330lbs exactly. And today I weight 310.6lbs!

11 more pounds to go and I'll be out of the 300's for good! I'm just so happy I want to scream from the roof tops!

Now I know I have a long ways to go until my goal (160lbs), but I'm so happy to get out the 300's. Hopefully I'll meet this goal by the end of the month and then I'll begin to tackle the 200's.

I just started walking a mile a day so that should help as well.

Guys this is so exciting to lose weight. My skin is better.. I sleep better.. even wake up before the alarm goes off.. and that's only with a 36lb weight loss.. I can't imagine what losing 150lbs will feel like... because this right here is fantastic!!!
