  6. Yes. Yes. Yes to all accounts! lol I shaved years off my appearance, My skin tone lightened and evened out and my hair did grow, but I did experience some thinning around the edges. I will say that I started very early on taking the Vitamin Biotin and still do for hair growth. And, yes.. I drink a Protein shake EVERYDAY. It's called Max fortress whey protein shake. They sell it at Walmart for $16.00 I put 2 scoops in 28oz of Water and that gives me 52 g of protein. The rest I consume with food. Hope this info helps
  7. Of course I feel even better! Walking up the stairs is better.. heck walking/running period is better! lol

  13. Ehh,, not truly thin just yet..lol I'm a size 16 pants (which are becoming loose) and an xl top.
  14. Congrats to the up coming surgery! Providing no complications, just listen to your sleeve and you'll do great! I'll be 10 mo post-op on the 27 of this month. Congrats once again and thank you
  15. I'll give you as much insight as I can on what I eat.But mind you this is what works for me. It may not be the same for you and also I can't tolerate a lot of food so I eat very little and it tends to be mushy. I listen to my sleeve as it tolerates this food best. I can eat solids but it tends to be way too heavy for me and unbearable at times. I drink 52g of Protein in the morning with 2 scoops of Body fortress whey Protein shakes (I add Water, not milk) Then right after I drink 28 oz of water lunch maybe 4 spoonfuls of tuna fish (mayo, relish and shredded cheese in it) 30 min later Drink 28 oz Hop on treadmill for no less than 45 min/ drinking water at the same time snack may consist of 1/4c. cottage cheese, handful of honey roasted nuts or 1oz of block cheddar cheese. Drinking 28 oz again dinner might be chopped up veggies/meat mixture marinated in Italian dressing ( celery, onions, tomatoes, ground beef, corn and pinto beans) It may sound gross but it's delicious! And I add a dollop of sour cream and shredded cheese to it. Drink 28 oz again... I hope this is helpful, because I'm not great at explaining things. But this is what a day looks like for me. There are days when I don't eat that. but this has been my staple for sometime now. Once again I hope it helps
  16. Yay!!! How exciting! You must be on pins and needles lol And I can't wait until you join the losers bench either! Ha
  17. Good Morning Well I started walking very early out of surgery..maybe 4 wks out. And to tell you the truth that's all I do as far as exercise. I walk 4-5 dys a week. It can range from 2 miles to 5 depending on my mood. I believe as long as I'm moving and shaking I'm fine. I don't worry about the distance so much..but I do try to aim for no less than 45 min.. and also I get 70+ grams of protein in each day and drink 112 oz of water.. People tend to think I weight less than 196.. That's a good thing, right? lol I'm 5'6 so maybe it's the height?? Y
  18. ughhh tell me about it.. I couldn't believe how much the weight aged me. I'm 30 and ppl tell me I look 20 now as opposed to looking like an old maid lol And I hope your surgery goes off without a hitch!
  19. lol why thank you my dear! Well, I'm still in the process of losing. I'm not where I want to be just yet. I'd like to be some where between 160-180 lbs. Some tell me to stop where I am, but this is a goal I'd like to reach, ya know? But to answer your question it's taken me almost 10 months to get here. Surgery day was 4-27-12 in Mexico. Best of luck to you on your journey and feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like to.
  20. Congrats on being newly sleeved! Well at 4 wks out there was no way that I could have drank this much. But still I was always sipping on my water through out the day. I swear my bottle is glued to my hand lol. And I don't believe I reached 112 oz a day until maybe 4 months post op.
  21. You're welcome, Talee and congrats on being post oper and looser! lol
  22. Thank you! And congrats on your weight loss
  23. Getting down liquid is no problem for me. I'm also a fast drinker, and no matter where I go I have my bottle of water with me. But eating food is another thing. It takes me a while and man do I feel it if I eat too fast. It's not a pleasant feeling.
  24. Thank you so much! I was sleeved April, 27,2012
  25. 1. I always aim for 70+ grams of Protein. 2. 112 oz of Water everyday without fail! 3. Always make healthy food choices and 45 min of cardio 4-5 dys a week. That's it. That's what I do.
