    Before and After Pics

I'm so glad y'all are posting these! I'm not even sleeved yet, but these are so inspirational.

    Echo...echoo...

Yay more people around my age I'm 19, but i haven't had a date set for my surgery yet But guess what....my birthday is April 6th!!! You got a present for my birthday Congrats on your surgery
  3. I know I haven't been on in awhile since my psych eval REJECTION. Ugh. Still makes me mad. But i've started thinking about the vsg again lately, and im still trying desperately to save up some cash so that I can go ahead with it :) Can't wait to be one of those 'post op' people...

  4. Went to psych evaluation this morning. He rejected me for right now. Put me in a "hold state". He think's i'm not ready mentally to handle this surgery. What? He has no idea how mentally ready I am. I have to go see him again in 6 weeks after I have "counseling", but by that time all of the pilot program slots will be filled. So long vsg...

  5. Had an awesome night with some of my friends from high school last night. I missed them :( Good times, good times...

Oh no, Oh no no no no no

don't beat yourself up about this too much right now. if it continues to occur, speak to your surgeon or something. See what is going wrong. I'm not convinced that it's your fault.
  7. wow that's amazing I hope my surgery goes half as well Congrats on getting your sleeve, i can't wait to get mine
  8. Not feeling too great today. My head hurts and i'm exhausted. But i'm still excited about my Psych eval. on Monday :):)

    Feb. 10th, 2011....*thinking*...

My psych evaluation is at the bariatric clinic on Monday (Valentines Day!!!) at 8 a.m. Sooooo early....but so worth it if i make it into the pilot program Can't wait to get sleeved. Ready for a major life change
  10. oh wow. you get to have solids until the night before your surgery? im envious. lol. for a solid 4 weeks before my surgery, i'm supposed to live on 5 Protein shakes a day. and one teensy tinsy meal each day that's supposed to be for dinner. lol. idk though. i'm sorry i'm not much help for this
  11. hearing your story makes me even more excited to get mine started And i don't really have the financial means, that's why it's so important to do it now. My insurance company is doing a pilot program and they're only paying for the surgery for 100 ppl. im frantically trying to be in one of those spots. so far so good. and about everything that you try on fitting, if that's the worst that can happen, I am totally ok hahaha
  12. Yeah that's what i'm most nervous about too I'll have to remember to tell everybody so that I get the meds and don't wake up feeling terrible. Thanks
  13. Well that makes me feel better then. Liquid medications don't really bother me, so that'll be easy for me i think. And yeah, i bet it did hurt when you coughed. *ouch*. i've heard about that, the gas pains in ppls stomachs and chests, and then also when people do get nauseated and end up dry heaving right after surgery. that would suck. that's what's got me the most worried. but like you said, the results will far outweigh any difficulties in the beginning I'm super excited
  14. oh wow!!! see when i hear awesome success stories like that, it just makes me even more excited
  15. Yeah that's what I think too. I'm with you. I've suffered enough already, and i'm only 18. Really the only thing that is holding me back now is my mom. At first, she was excited and really wanted me to have the surgery. But now that we've been going to meetings together and getting all of our information together, she is getting scared. I think i'm going to stick to my guns though. I think that after I have the sleeve done, and she sees the positive effects it has on my life, she will change her mind. And I know she will be there with me no matter what.
