  1. Thanks so much for the post. I too haven't had the kind of weight loss I see written about on the site I'm almost 1 month out & have only lost 8lbs. I get all my liquids & protien in so All I can say is this is better than w/o the surgery. I've just gotten to solid foods and I do notice more restriction that when I was on mushies. I haven't been excercising like I should but I'm in Maryland and it's soooo cold here. I can't wait for spring to get out & start walking. Claire
  2. I had the[ Plication on Jan 15th with Dr Corvala. It was a wonderful experience. The team was great, always someone who spoke English. I had only mild pain & by 1/19 took no pain med at all. I'd highly recommend this team. quote name=vickie' timestamp='1294199350' post='104101] Hello everyone, If you have had the gastric sleeve plication in Mexico can you tell me who your doctor was and what the experience was like for you? I am having a very hard time choosing. Thanks.
  3. I'm 2.5weeks post op from my Plication. I was so surprised about how easy the recovery was. I was up & walking the same day as surgery (Sat), released on Monday. Flew home to the east coast on Tuesday & by Weds I didn't even take anything for Pain. I'd highly recommend this procedure. The hospital was beautiful, very nice room with a DVD player, the TV got a few english language channels.

  4. Hi everyone, First let me say that I'm so glad to have this forum to here all our stories and get the encouragement I need to move forward with this surgery. I'm traveling to TJ to get my surgery with Dr. Lopez Corvala. I see this as the start of a journey to a heathly life. I'm like so many of you in that I've tried & tried to lose weight but always ended up heavier than before. I'm so tired of having all these aches & pains that I hope are due to the extra weight. I'm just a little nervous, not so much about the surgery itself but the trip home so soon after. I'm being released and then staying over night before my trip back to the east coast. Should I pack my clear liquids to have something to put in my new tummy. I can't even imagine not being hungery after the few tablespoons of food. I'd realy like to hear about the liguid phase of recovery. Thanks all, Claire
