Surgery was beautiful! It was the same day as the Blizzard of 2011 ~ got to stay inpatient Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday as the hospital was basically CLOSED ~ Had my drain & staples removed today, advanced from Clear Liquids to Full ~ had a protein shake and BLENDERIZED cottage cheese, what a TREAT! Please keep the well wishes comin', I need them! Any FULL LIQUID favorites? Love to you all ! <3

Well I am over 2 years post op, but this is a life long journey.... you never stop 'dealing' with your food issues, but you have CONTROL! Oh boy does it feel good to have control... I am so excited for you! Aftercare is key to succeeding! I hope you have some nutritional counseling help etc planned for after surgery I highly recommend it! And you have us too!

Katie ~ "Food Funeral" OMGoodness, I need to find my black "funeral" pants and plan a ceremony as well! LOL! I start my 10 day pre-op "clean out" this coming Saturday and before I know it, Feb 1st will be here ... Right now the cravings are controlling me, every day, all day long ~ But they will "Die" on the First ~ LOL! ~ How are your post op days going so far? Thanks for the post! ~ Janice

Yes.... eating those 'favorites' is normal lol... I almost had a "Food Funeral" it was literally like my bff just died. IT passes and priorities change and you wear super big girl pants that start to shrink really fast.... once that happens a maple bar is really the furthest thing from your mind! LOL

Hi Katie ~ What an inspiration you are! After almost a year in the making, I am nervous and excited at the same time! I start my 10 day pre-op liquid diet as well as finalizing my pre-op work-ups! I have found myself eating lots of my favorites the past 2 weeks ~ does that seem normal? LOL! Any encouragement would be sincerely appreciated! *muah* ~ Janice
