  1. You are sooo right: MAINTAINING IS THE PROBLEM! I lost 90 working toward WLS & was very proud that I didn't have to do any WLS. I kept it down for quite awhile with 20 sneaking back on and then after a traumatic event I put another 45 on in a very short time. I said enough was enough, went to Mexico. The Sleeve is freedom to me.

  2. Please keep us updated on your HCG diet, ok!

While I know others on this board may disagree, I loved this diet. My chronic fatigue, joint/muscle pain, and overall bitchiness literally vanished. My problem with it before surgery was that I was full of bad eating habits, and tended to have head hunger from hell.

I have decided to do this protocol again. Only because due to my recent diagnosis of Lupus, I am now on an overwhelming amount of meds. If I could be pain free with one shot a day, instead of 5-6 pills then hey Ill do it!

We shall see. If anything, it will be easier now that I have no hunger and a tiny tummy.

  3. Hi Cindy, I'm also in recovery ~ 10 years clean and sober. I have did the Overeater's Anonymous steps several years back and was very Enlightened to find some of my core eating problems/solutions thru them. Even tho I was sleeved on 12-9-10, I still have those behaviours so I believe I will go over my OA 12 Steps again. It's like peeling an onion: layer after layer = never done! Lu

Hi, my name is Cindy, 15 years clean and sober. Sleeved 3/3/11 and feel fantastic. I reguarlly go to meetings and sponsor women in recovery. We read literature and study the 12 steps. This program is theraputic in nature - different than meetings - but it appears they use the same tools when talking about recovery. I really like watching it.

From thier perspective it does not matter what the addiction is (overeating, bulimia, anerexia, etc...) the problem is the same. Also the solution is the same.

I'm also touched by another common theme - people in addiction appear to have childhood trauma. Interesting.

  4. Not only did I research him but 3 friends had him do their WLS and each has passed it on by taking another friend down = One was me! They got me in quick after the final decision was made: I traveled 800 miles to Phoenix where then we went the rest of the way down to Mexicalli. I never had 2nd thoughts or one bit of nervousness = I was ready! Yes I agree with all above and the price is all inclusive. I believe he did 3 the day of mine and also repaired my hiatal hernia.

  5. WOW! ~ You're doing amazing Tiffany! I'm still on the plateau from hell = Stuck on 205 for over a month, down to 199, and only 1 lb in a 2 week period. I just added Aquatics twice a week with my walking, treadmill, & Gazelle. What kind of exercise program do you do???

  6. The TV show on Oprah's OWN channel, "ADDICTED TO FOOD" is the show to watch about tackling our demons with food. It looks like the rehab follows a 12 step program and there are overeaters, compulsive, & bulemics. I watched the second episode today and alot hit home with me.

  7. TIME TO GO SHOPPING for bargains!! ~ Enjoy fitting into clothes that you never have before! I have 2 large closetfulls that I'm finally getting back into.

I went to my closet to try on the last of what was hanging there and sadly not one thing is salvageable.
