    Did my Port move?

Sometimes when I'm lying down I think my port moves. I have to stand up and kinda wiggle around till I feel ok again. I asked my surgeon and she said its stitched in there. But yes, sometimes I really think it has moved.

    alcohol

Well I had a party 3 days before my surgery. I have to say that was my last drink for a year. My doc says the bubbles will just not work in that little tummy. But then it may be a trick to help me quit drinking... Who knows?
  6. Hello there, I am 22, and am amoung a group of very slender, beautiful friends. For years I felt like the black sheep amoung my friends. As you say, you couldnt look in the mirror anymore. I felt the same way. I just didnt want to be FAT anymore. I have been overweight for 15 years and enough is enough. I had to change. The pain after surgery was there for about 3 days. After that I was doing almost everything on my own. Iw as driving on the 4th days. My surgery was 11 days ago and all my bandages are off. My incisions look great, and I've lost 7lbs! I even worked out 6 days after surgery. This is the perfect time for you to do this. Your skin is more elastic in your 20s. Think about how many wonderful years you have ahead of you to be healthy and happy. If anything, I would tell you to strongly consider it.

    My port is a pain!

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I havent given myself enough time to heal. I guess since the rest of me was healing so well, I thought that the port area would heal at the same rate. Good to know I'm not alone!

    My port is a pain!

I can always feel my port. When I close my car door, sleep, bend over... You name it. This is such a pain. My surgery was about 9 days ago... So I'm new at all this. I could be just swollen, or this is something I just wasnt aware of...Will this ever go away?
  11. I have been so pleased with the Surgical Specialists of Louisiana. MY surgery was done my Dr. Rachel Moore. She was awesome. The nurse practitioner is great too. They care and they want me to succeed!

    Corn/carrots/straws

Hey Kyleigh, Thanks for recommending this site to me. It really has helped. Concerning corn though... My sheet says no celery, asparagus or corn. The nurse said they all contain too much Fiber and are hard to digest. But if it's working for other people... I just don't know.
