  1. I just checked the diet source sorbet site and it pulled up nestle-nutrition.com. On this site I found the sorbet I had in the hospital but you need to order 48 cups. I might consider it if my daughter's insurance approves her for the sleeve. It just went in yesterday.
  2. Thanks. I'll give that site a try.

    Surgery Dec 22

Hi: I am thrilled for you and will keep you in my prayers for a successful surgery. I was sleeved on 11/22. As each day progresses, I keep getting stronger. You can really feel it!! I was sleeved in San Diego by Dr. Takata. He is a fabulous surgeon. It was at least a 6 month ordeal but so worth it. I haven't found my appetite yet and I'm not going to waste my time looking. I have been there and done that. As you get closer to your surgery date you will receive a packet on everything and anything. But prior to that packet, you should be going to at least one diet class to learn the stage progressions to eating normal food. You will also be put on a pre-op diet and all doctors vary....some 5 days to 2 weeks. My daughter's will last 2 weeks and I was 5 days. Currently I am down 13# from the start of pre-op diet. Keep us updated and good luck, you will never regret your decision.

    Juice Plus ???

I'm 8 days post op. My Dx told me not to take fish oil also. Most of my pills, if they are big, I split in half. I just noticed today that Viactiv has 3 grams of sugar so on Thurs. when I'm to start my calcium, I'll take the regular chewable calcium. I'm not able to take my CQ10, per the Dx. When I get off my colestral pill, I won't need it anyway. I'm down 12.6# since my 5 day prep to today.
  5. Hi: I was just sleeved on the 22nd of Nov. and I'm 62 I have been finding great deals and good products at The Vitamin Shoppe near me. The staff is very helpful and a lot of bariatic patients have stepped inside their doors. I love their pro-pudding, chocolate and I just bought the vanilla. 25 grams of protein and at least 2 servings per packet with about a dozen packets in the box. Currently I'm looking for SF FF sorbet. I have some in the hospital from diet source. I know you can make your own also. I'm on stage 2 which I started on Thanksgiving Day. I also love the Isopure and just for drinking purposes, I love the Power Ade Zero also. Good luck all and keep posting, it helps all of us.

Over 60 and having the sleeve

Hi: My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning, 11/22 here in San Diego. I am in excellent health and my BMI is 34 and I currently weigh 190. I would like to get to around 130 or 140, hopefully not lower than that. I'm 62. Today is my 5th day of liquids for pre op. I'm getting testy and nervous. Help.
