Yesterday, I got my cpap machine (ugh!!) I put this in the same category as protein shakes. I must force myself to endure them for the ultimate prize.

I am really having trouble losing weight pre-op. Initially, I lost 10 lbs and then life took over and I wasnt able to get back to the gym as regularly. The protein shakes disgust me. I found out adding a banana isnt good for my diet, according to the nutritionist. Yet, it helped me to get the shake down by cutting the whey taste. I havent given up yet and I wont. But I am trying to gather up my willpower. The surgeon didnt give me a set amount of weight to lose. I guess she just wanted to see...

I am meeting with the surgeon on Monday for my 2 month follow up. I have gotten all necessary testing done except the upper endoscopy. I am hoping that I will be able to send off for the insurance approval soon.

I am a 33 year old mother of 1. I have been married for 5 1/2 years and I am a teacher in DC. I started my journey on September 13 and am pursuing the vertical sleeve. I have completed everything on my checklist except my upper endoscopy test. My next appt with my surgeon is Nov. 15. Hopefully, at that time I will be able to submit my necessary paperwork to my insurance. Yay! I am on my way!
