  1. I am so happy!!! Thank you Dr. Kelly. 3 weeks and half way to goal!!!
  2. When I joined this website I too found alot of Aceves and Alvarez patients. These Dr's have a lot of publicity and Dr. Alvarez has alot of web media. I was considering both of these doctors myself but I was self pay and both of the Dr's were on the higher priced end. Great doctors I'm sure but the money was an issue for me. So I set out to fing a great doctor that was affordable for me and that's just what I did. After much research my sister and I both decided to go with Dr. Ramos Kelly in Tijuana Mexico. If you go to INT hospital (which I thought was simple yet amazing) the price is 5,600. The other two mentioned are between 8,000and 9,500 so I saved a few thousand dollars. Dr. Kelly also does revisions and RNY's and all the hard stuff ; ) He is amazing from the first time you speak to him. Don't take my word for it find out for yourself. My sister and I both feel we got exceptional care for an exceptional price. He is found on Obesietyhelp.com. There you will find lots of testimonials and his schooling info. He has never had a death and used to be a trauma surgeon. If you call them Trish will be your coordinator, please tell them Jessi was raving about Dr. Kelly. I am trying to get his name out there since people only really seem to know about dr. Aceves and Dr. Alvarez. Feel free to call me if you need 801-822-2381
  3. Try Omeprazole!!! I have heard many people say the prilosec didn't work for them! Just a suggestion!
  4. None!! I had gas while still at the hospital but since leaving none that I couln't get out on my own. I am taking 2 ppi's each night before bed as prescribed by my doctor and I have no burning. And I have terrible acid before my surgery so i was really worried about that. I am still on clear liquids but I was feeling very week so my dr told me i can have 1-2 protein shakes per day. I am also having milk so I guess i am pretty much on full now. Are you taking your PPI's religiously?
  5. He is so nice and a great Dr. He does a great job and makes you feel at ease as soon as you meet him. Good luck and you did choose the right doctor!!
  6. Don't worry you will be fine!! This surgery is so much easier than I thought. I know for some people it can be a hard recovery but I think for the majority of sleevers it is a prety easy recovery. I am 8 days out and my incisions are almost completely healded and I feel great!! Good luck and don't be too scared. It is so worth it!!!
  7. So I am 1 week out and I am thinking.......Can it really be this easy? I was so scared to have my surgery. The procedure, Mexico, dying.......ok I am a bit dramatic but hey I thought it. I had my surgery in Mexico with Dr. Ramos Kelly and he was amazing. Everything I wanted and more. My recovery has been unbelieveable. I feel so good I can't believe I just had surgery. I have to admit I am not looking forward to tomorrow. My mother in law is an amazing cook and my family will be at her house the entire day surrounded by amazing food. But I just read something that Tiffkins posted and I really liked it. She said NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS THIN FEELS! So when I am looking at that amazing food that is what I am going to tell myself as I eat some Jello ; ) I am so happy right now and I feel so blessed that this has been an amazing experience for me. I wish all the best and a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
  8. Love it!!! That' s hilarious!!!
  9. I am Nov 18th with Dr. Kelly. Please let me know how it goes!!! And good luck!!!
  10. What is a slider food? Does it just digest really quickly? Sorry if should know this.
  11. Just wanted to hear everyones fav shakes. And any advice on PPI's. What worked for you and what didn't? I am very gassy and I have a lot of acid and I know I am going to need the BEST after surgery. I just want to be prepared; ) Sorry if that's too much info but hey I am just being honest.
  12. Just wanted to get some opinions of some good protein shakes for sleevers. Any suggestions???
  13. I am going to be sleeved by Dr. Kelly on nov,18th. Good luck to you!! I really believe we have a great choice in doctors. Dr. Kelly and Dr. Acrves are both on top of their game. best wishes, Jessi
  14. I am going to be sleeved by dr. kelly on nov, 19th. Please let me know how your surgey goes.
  15. I am having the sleeve done in Mexico in November 18th and I am getting nervous. I have a low BMI 30.4 and I know this surgery is usually done on heavier people but i have struggled for the past 6 years with my weight like a rollercoaster and I am tired of all the fad diets. I am hoping to hear some postive comments about this surgery and maybe even some comments from people like me who do not have a high BMI and have done this surgery. I am going with Dr. Ramos Kelly at INT and would like any info or comments. My sister and I will be recording our "adventure"and sharing our experience in Mexico and our journey to hopefully more healthy and beautiful bodies. Any posts would be appreciated : )
