I quit 2 years ago with Chantix. Even with the meds, it is very hard. However, they did help immensely. Think I ended up taking it for less than a month. Best of luck to you! -
I'm so sorry, Lovely! Have you talked with them about resubmitting? Stay on them about getting it done, there's still hope for us to be in at the same time!

I just got my date this morning for the 29th! So excited! -
Well, I had to call BCBS and they faxed it in again. Called back the office and I'm scheduled for the final office visit next Tuesday, the 30th. Have emailed Dawn for the surgery schedule, so hoping to hear from her today---if not tomorrow. They did tell me that they were scheduling in the 3rd week of December, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! If you haven't---please call your insurance and see what they say, so you can get scheduled! Do you know which hospital you are using? I have to use Doctor's because it is a bariatric center of excellence with BCBS. She did tell me that they only do surgeries on Wednesday there. Let me know!

I'm not terribly impressed with the lack of communication with the insurance area of the office. Dale has been great when I've dealt with him, but that hasn't been all that often. Although, they clearly got me approved and that is wonderful! Now just hoping they can get me scheduled!

I had to call Blue Cross. Still having some scheduling issues with his office, but I'm hoping it will all be resolved on Monday. If I were you, I would definitely call your BCBS people on Monday and find out where it is in the process. Good luck on getting in before the end of the year, his office told me they were waiting on him to open up additional days, so I think there is still a good chance!

When are you trying to have your surgery done? They told me yesterday that he was already booked a month out, but I'm just HOPING that I can get it done over Christmas!

Not at all! 5'7, with a 36 BMI and comorbidity of sleep apnea.

I'm praying for that! Since I teach, I really don't have the extra time to take off, so the Christmas break works perfectly for me. Just a matter of my surgeon's office being so busy.
Can't wait to hear what you find out! For some reason, I'm not really worried about the liquid diet part, it almost seems as if it's finally, officially starting the program.

If it makes you feel any better, my doc submitted on Wednesday and when I called this morning---Friday---Blue Cross had already approved and mailed out the letters! Much, much faster than I had expected! -
Yes, actually I just found out today that I was approved! Can't believe it, the surgeon's office didn't submit until Wednesday and BCBS approved it on Thursday! Still hoping that the scheduling will work out, but keeping my fingers crossed. I saw that you have a date! You must be so excited! When do you start the pre-op diet?

I had my psych eval on Tuesday--approved, my EGD Saturday, and my final doc visit on Monday. Hopefully, they will get it all submitted to BC/BS the next day---Tuesday the 9th. What about you?
