I had my surgery on Aug.25 and when I went for my 2 week post-op check up I had also lost 20lbls..my doctor seemed very pleased with it! Congrats on your weightloss!

Hey, Just wanted to share... I went for my first post-op visit today... I am down 20 lbs since my surgery! I find that so hard to believe for some reason...I'm excited Thanks everyone for your support!:confused1:

I'm doing ok..I have a stupid cold now so that has set me back some! I was in a little pain from my drain site, but that is now minimal. My energy level is down a lot, but I think that is from the cold! Any setbacks for you? How was Mexico?

Hey, I'm six days out....I'm on liquids too and it is hard to get in all the liquids. I feel like I drink all day long! Well, I basically do! Does it hurt after each drink? My hurt while drinking has went away mostly unless I take a couple of big drinks. Then it hurts cause I drank too much too close together! Don't be so harsh on yourself. I know it sounds easier said than done. WE CAN DO THIS! Hope you get better soon!

Hey guys, Had the sleeve on Aug. 25. I'm doing great other than I have this terrible pain at the jp drain site. I'm having problem's sitting, standing, laying etc. I'm sure it's probably muscle pain. I've never had any major abdominal sugery, so maybe it's normal! Any advice?

I didn't have a leak but, I was in terrible post-op pain. At that point, I defenitely had buyers remorse! I've had several surgeries and nothing compared to the pain that I had! I got sleeved on Aug. 25 and it took me a good two days to start drinking without major pains. I mostly hurt where the drain site is! So I feel for you, I can't imagine how bad the pain was! Hope you have a speedy recovery!

my surgeons office has an insurance policy built in with the cost...I want to say bliss insurance...but I could be wrong. Anway, that policy covers you up to 6 monts post op! Everything is included too ie..hospital stays,more surgery if needed! He said they can provide this insurance because it is only available for bariatric surgeons who have very low complication rates! Hope I don't need to use it...but it's comforting knowing that it's there!

Don't sweat it...I did it too! Mine was pasta salad LOL! I'm very cranky too! My husband can't understand why I'm so hateful! All this advice, is easire said that done! I'm not so hungry anymore..It will get somewhat better I promise!

I have bought the protein x from my surgeons office. My surgery is aug. 25th. I bought the grape flavored. The girl at the office said it taste like grape kook-aid. As you know it's for post-op! I think I paid $30.00 for it...but it's a really big bottle!

What store did you find it in? I have looked at my kroger's but I can't seem to find it? :thumbup::glare::w00t:

Are you taking reglan post op? The Nurse Practioner at my bariatric surgeon's office said that the reglan will most likely make you more depressed. She said that if I get depressed while taking reglan during the post op phase, call my pcp and get my lexapro increased temporaily! Hope this helps!

I just bought my proteinx at the dr. office today. I got the grape flavored. Should I have bought another flavor. The office girl just told me that they like the grape the best. Is there an unflavored? Any help would be great!

I'm also on August 25! My surgeon is Dr. Willliams, and I'm having it done at ParkWest Hospital... Hope everything goes great for you!:confused1:

My pre-op diet is 2 weeks also! Not looking forward to it at all!
