    I have to agree....the band was a nightmare for me! Couldn't eat anything healthy....it came right back up! I was sleeved 7 weeks ago and it's getting better every day! So happy I was sleeved!

    Your welcome! And don't worry you will lose weight with the sleeve. Just take good care of yourself.

    Thank you so much for the well wishes. I'm one week post op now. I'm doing great, but have pain where port of the lap band was. I also have doubts as to whether I will REALLY lose weight. I didn't lose any with the band. Trying to be patient and be positive! Nigella

    I'm here too!! I was in the hospital 4 nights...the pain was pretty bad. I guess because they had to take my band and port out. I'm home and feeling good now! I am sipping protein shakes (2 a day) and water. So far so good!

    I see my doctor tomorrow, but the surgery coordinator told me I didn't have to diet before surgery, just keep the calories around 1500. Nothing said about low carb....hummmm. She said I will be on a liquid diet for 2 days before surgery (Sat. and Sunday)...yikes....I'm afraid. I'm less excited and more fearful...I gotta get past this! :001_unsure:

    I'm SO happy to hear the good news. I'm going from band (hate it) to sleeve next Monday! I could not eat healthy food with the band...just came back up. Frustrated, I had no restriction for the last 3 years. I hope the sleeve is different!
