    Almost 2mos out...25 Lost

thanks guys! I do agree with the person who said "sounds like you are eatting alot of other stuff" yes ! I am! I will try harder to get in more like 70-80 grams of protien and see if that helps. I've been super tierd lately too! Thanks for the honesty!
  2. :tongue_smilie: So I have been faithful to my diet and exercise. I get around 900 cals per day I get at least 60 grams of protein and around 90 grams of carbs. I work out everyday for 30mins some days 1 hour (I started about 3 weeks out) I feel that I am not meeting my doctors expectations for my weight loss-- he was not impressed with my loss. I guess that has made me more motivated which is good. I started out pre-op at 208 then got down to 190 the day of surgery. Today I am 165 and I am okay with that...kinda everyone else with this surgery has me beat with 30 and 40 pounds at 2mos. I don't really restrict my carbs as much as some people do though. It can really over stress your body if you stay in Ketosis for too long..so I would rather be healthy and loose slower I guess but it just makes me jealous how fast others are loosing!! LOL:laugh0: Just so you know I only eat good carbs like fruits..and soon more veggies I can't wait to have salad again but I'm a little afraid of it still they say it is hard to digest. I have small amounts of whole wheat toast and today I had whole wheat pita bread with hummus yum! I also like rice! SUSHI IS A FAV! Anyways I am just wanting opinions and I won't judge if you don't agree with the carb thing.. be honest :001_rolleyes:

    Sushi, yum yum!

I also love sushi. I am almost a month out and was able to eat a piece yesterday. Thanks for the info.
  4. morning of surgery I was 190. my goal is also 130. Of course we can get to goal silly :confused1: Make sure you exercise and don't cheat too much :cursing: I would love to go eat me some ice cream but I feel if I get started on that it will be bad news! still I can't even get in more than 900 cals a day...unless i ate icecream all day or other deliberate sabotages. So it should not be that hard to get to goal. I'm not in a big rush I think by around 6mos though I should be about there I hope or close maybe 140 by 6 mos then go from there. I'm 176 right now almost a month out.

    I'm sleeved and I'm home !!!!!

I'm a little jealous. My drain was horrible, it really hurt! As soon as I got it out I had little to no pain from then on. I have 6 incisions! I'm a little over 2 weeks out and they are pretty much healed so...no big deal glad you are doing well. Take it slow
  6. i'm 2 weeks out today and get to advance to mushy foods. I ate a whole banana before i felt full and had no issues. I did not get all that full especially on full liquids. I can eat 6 ounces of yogurt and just feel satisfied not really full. I'm not freaking out and raiding the fridge tho, I keep pretty busy and sometimes forget about food. But I'm just saying...it seems like I can eat a good amount if I go slow and chew well. It just surprises me. I can drink normally and even gulp ...a few gulps and not feel that weird pressure that I did the first few days post op. I'm too scared to eat steak yet. I would be worried about the staple line still. I ate some pureed chicken salad tonight though with no problems about 1/4 cup..didn't really feel full but don't want to push it. I was satisfied. It was yummy!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. We are allowed cream of wheat in our phase 2 diet that lasts 2 weeks I bought some protein powder call "ANY WHEY" which I'm quite impressed with. It is unflavored and doesn't have a bad after taste. You can mix it with anything. so I mix up about 1oz of skim milk with a tablespoon of powder then added it to my cream of wheat. It's yummy. I did add a little salt and a packet of splenda too.
  8. I'm now post op sleeve the first 2 day were rough but i'm better now, just having trouble getting in all my fluids! any pointers???
  9. Prayers going up for you today! Let us know as soon as you can how you are doing after your surgery!!

  10. I will have some soon...but soon you will be down a size! I am wearing a 14P right now. sorry!
  11. I'm ready to go. Clear liquids all day for me. It shouldn't be too bad I'm pretty preoccupied! I've gotten all my shopping done and my bag packed. I'm kinda "nesting" for my sleeve today making sure the house is spotless
  12. day 10 of liquid diet...only 4 more days! I'm making it! I've cheated a few times with carb master yogurt it only has 4 carbs per serving and 12grams of protein and also a piece of cheese. Today I went to smoothie king and got the gladiator smoothie, it only has a few grams of carbs. My dietitian approved it. My body has adjusted somewhat..It's not always that bad but..I've had bad days for sure, especially when I get bored! I guess just remember there are others going through it too and I've made it this far :001_cool: Hoping your days and mine fly by!
  13. Well last week I lost 5lbs I am on my 2 week pre op diet, with one week left. I can only have protein shakes and sugar free liquids. But I added carbmaster yogurt from Krogers it only has 4grams of carbs and 12 grams of protien =80cals. I also eat this AMAZING new cheese it's a 100 cal pack from Kraft called 3 cheese blend. It's my one treat everyday And only 1gram of carbs. I have been doing 800-1000cals per day and although it sucks it is somewhat tolerable as long as I keep myself busy. I also eat these prepackaged SF jello jigglers from krogers called gel bites and that has helped a ton to keep me satisfied. I don't think I could tolerate 500 cals a day yikes!! You should def. go low carb and you will for sure loose the wt by June 9th. And shrink your liver

    officially sleeved!

:crying: YAY!! I join the club one week from today!!!:crying: I'm very excited! wishing you a fast and easy recovery. Everyone has been saying that after surgery the liquid diet is no where near as hard because you don't feel like eating! Today was a good day for me--day 8 of liquid diet..but my day off is tomorrow. When I'm not busy I think about french fries!! :crying:
