    Help, Please

Are you able to get in any protein, I did have a few hot flashes but attributed them to hormones, which are zinging around because our bodies are saying "What the heck happened here?" Focus on the liquids and protein and see if that helps.
  5. I am 3 months out and the drinking thing was better by 3 weeks for me, i can at 3 months take large swallows of water without any problem. I know there are several members who have been so happy to be rid of the band and finally nausea free/pain free.

OMG Got A DatE! HELP ME

I'm do happy for you, I made lists of the dietary guidlines my surgeon wanted me to follow and made a gro list according to that. you need clear liquids (propel,fruit2o,Special K protein water, broth or soups strained) I went ahead and bought Crystal Light SF popsicles and SF jello, pudding and Gasx strips. I could drive 4 days post op so just stuff for the first week. Good Luck!!
  7. Have you tried the gas-x strips? Otc at walmart/walgreens or any drugstore. Take your pain meds, rest, sip, walk, hang in there it does get better.

Thinking about you and saying a prayer all goes well.Hugs!
  10. I'm Pretty sure the insurance wants to see you had weight issues in 2005, it doesen't matter what your BMI was then, what matters is now, plus you had a hysterectomy and the weight can come afterward. I have UHC too and they are a good insurance, mine was 80/20 and I only had to pay 1500.00 when all was said and done. Good Luck!!

    need input from the "

Each surgeon seems to different guidelines. You could check with your surgeon to see what those are, as for myself I was on clears for 7 days and day 8-30 l mushies, soft food, anything that could be smushed up. Cornwell has a die guideline if you do a serach on the forum you'll find it. You should be fine for the conference but that is just my opinion.Good Luck!
  14. What are the requirements for your UHC? The sleep apnea and HBP will sway the odds in your favor, so try don't give up!
  15. I only took Bp med for 2 days after surgery, the weight fell offand I didn't need the med. I was given liquid loratab and used it for a week because I have rhuematoid arthritis, on day 8 I was given go ahead for Celebrex, and occasional Aleve as needed, we still have a functioning stomach so as far as I know NSAID are not banned. Good luck.
