    I am worried!

You need more water and more protein. Nuff' said.
  2. I get stomach aches only if I eat too fast... (which for me is a learning tool) We really have to eat as if we have a baby spoon and chew slowly from there. I don't know your case in particular but this is what has happened to me.
  3. T... you been getting out yet???
  4. Pepcid is required by my doc for life. Also I do get some glimpses of hunger but it is more of the feeling of "OMG I am Missing out on something..." When it all boils down to it I eat something light and go on my way again.... The benefit to lower carb eating has really only 2 things to it: (disclaimer ....I am not a know it all I work in the fitness industry for 25 years and have access to some great debates and great minds...) Since we now have a tiny suite case in our tummy's you can only pack the most important things.... THE MOST IMPORTANT things to our body is good fat and good Protein... the least is carbs... (here come the debaters:bored0:) Mind you I have nothing against carbs... some of my fondest dishes are carbs! :drool5: However you need to get your nutrients needs first for your life! Next... low carb helps with satiety countless studies really only boil down to that. There is no advantage one way over another calorie wise however since you now have to choose carfuly: get 70 Grams of Protein in minimum a day first and foremost.... then plan your day from there.... Get your vitmains in (do not buy grocery Vitamins go to DOTFIT.com and pick your vitamins and minerals they are the best in the world. Oh, and always leave room for a sugar free Fudgecicle at the end of the day!
  5. There are many physiological reasons for stalls. They range from; Calories not meeting being in a deficit Water Retention due to PMS (or Salt) Hidden Calories Changes in metabolism (Remember you burn less when you get smaller) and a million other things.. The body makes it harder to lose the leaner you get as well... it takes 3600 calories to lose one real pound of fat. If you eat 1000 a day and only really burn say 1800 you have a net loss of only 800 calories... (IOW) 4+ days to lose a real pound... Don't allow a scale to make you frustrated... you simply could be adding muscle at this part of your life (which you need by the way). Go to Livestrong.com and start the daily plate and really check your calories, if you know you are doing everything right...then you CAN'T be the only one on the planet who breaks the laws of thermodynamics... you will feel good that "something else if going on" and before you know it progress is on it's way again

    Foods to Avoid

I am on my 4th week and when they said I could have re fried Beans.... oh man they were awesome... now I tried ground beef for the first time... I don't like it :001_tongue: What the heck just happened to me... I love yogurt and soft foods now... ACK!!! Just hang in there and it will be easier!!

    Is this normal?

Sugar Free Popsicles saved me :001_tongue:
  8. Get outside more. I am on my 3rd week back and I am back to work already and feel great! Get some fresh air (as much as you can!) Couped up will cause that, if you are getting your Vitamins and minerals, taking your meds, drinking your Protein things should brighten up! Great Job on your "decision to incision!" :001_tongue:
  9. If you burn ever day being alive 1400+ going from 300 to 600 energy is still loss.... You always flucuate in weight up to 3 pounds...try to stay focused on the big picture and keep up the good work :001_tongue:
  10. Odd, it is impossible to beat the laws of thermodynamics ( I know lot's of people like to make money writing that you can magically...) but it is a matter of energy in and energy out. That said, there are a ton of a factors that may be contributing to your stall... a big one would be salt and Water retention... I know that I am craving spices like CRAZY right now and have taken in more sodium than I am used to.... couple that with less calories and maybe you are holding water. Also what was your metabolic rate when you did your test are you within normal range? If so then it is impossble to hold energy when you are expelling 1200 or so a day... remember too 3600 of calories is a pound the leaner you get the slower you burn (since you don't need as much to sustain you) So if you are only dropping 400 calories a day 1200- 800 = 400 it should take a week before you see a pound... so yu can see how water or many other factors (periods) ..vutualy anything can mess with those numbers and your emotions. Stay the course... stay focused and watch what happens. By the way Dr. Diane Schwazbien once wrote that you have multiple set points along the way... you may be at one and it is just your physiology making adjustments before the next round :001_tongue:

    TnTPoP Sayin' "Hi!"

Thank you so much everyone for the warm welcome!
  12. "Hi" I'm new and about to get sleeved on the 18th. I am scared and excited at the same time. I have been doing research for over 5 years and decided to self pay the sleeve. I have about 80 pounds to lose but have acquired 6 co morbid diseases along the way that motivated my Doctor to convince me that it was "time". I'll pop in from time to time to say "hi" but I am always lurking... TNTPOP means Trinity and Troy's pop... Those are my kids... I am their Pop :biggrin0: TNT also goes pop... but that's not.. oh well you get it
